Support early childhood education in under resourced communities. Volunteers assist in kindergartens and preschools that care for children aged roughly 1 to 6 years old. Daily tasks may include helping with early learning activities, supervising playtime, assisting with simple English or maths lessons, leading songs, games or storytelling, supporting arts and crafts, and helping with meal times, hygiene routines and general childcare. Your presence provides valuable attention, encouragement and stability during an important stage of child development. This program is ideal for energetic volunteers who enjoy working with young children and want to contribute to meaningful early education. You do not need prior childcare or teaching experience — local teachers guide you and provide structure for each day. What matters most is patience, kindness and enthusiasm. Programs start on the 1st and 15th of each month and run for flexible durations. Outside volunteering you will have time to explore Nairobi’s culture, neighbourhoods, wildlife experiences and vibrant city life while making a positive impact in the classroom.

The incredible attraction of the famous migration over the Masai Mara has brought with it some conflict in competition for resources such as predator's praying on local livestock, and the Masai people not being as involved in the tourism project as would be hoped. The aims of this project are to ensure that the Mara remains a valuable source of income for the country and to increase local community involvement in the tourism process. Additionally, the project aims to monitor and research some of Africa's most endangered wildlife, and in partner with a Big Cat Monitoring project volunteers will help monitor the movement of prides of lions, leopards and cheetahs within the conservancy, as well as the interaction between lions and the local communities.
