Degree Programs in Bridgetown, Barbados

The MA in Cultural Studies is offered on both a full-time and part-time basis. To earn the degree, students must complete a mix of coursework and a research component, successfully gaining the necessary credits. These include four required courses, one elective, and a research paper or project. After approval of the research proposal, each student is assigned a supervisor to support their work. Students can fulfill the research component in one of three ways: (i) submitting a written research paper, (ii) completing an internship with an organization and providing a cultural industry critique, or (iii) presenting a research-based project. This program also offers the chance to study in a multicultural environment on a Caribbean campus, with the added benefit of attending a respected and accredited university.
