Your Open Campus Block program in Rome lasts 6, 12, or 18 weeks and is designed to be completely customizable. You will enroll in CIEE courses and online courses taught through CIEE's global academic partner, ASU. Rome is Italy’s historic, artistic capital, offering an inspiring environment for students of all disciplines. Spend 6-, 12-, or 18-weeks exploring Rome’s ancient ruins, vibrant cultural scene, and iconic landmarks like the Colosseum and Vatican City.

The Torino program is ideal for students who are interested in studying International Business, Art/Architecture, and Italian Studies in an exciting, cosmopolitan setting. Named the Youth Capital of Europe in 2010, Torino is an excellent location to study and practice the Italian language and experience Italy's rich culture away from crowded tourist areas. It is home to many prominent international companies, and this program provides an excellent opportunity to meet European students and business people in a leading center for European business and business education. Choose courses from three diverse academic areas: International Business, Architecture/Design/Art, and Italian Studies. The Torino program combines academic coursework with practical learning, tours, and field trips to create an integrated cultural experience. *Due to the global health status, USAC is making changes to summer, fall, and yearlong programs, and some options might not be available. Spend a semester or academic year in the classic city of Rome with AIFS Abroad. Earn up to 17 credits studying at AIFS Abroad Global Education Center and receive credits from Fairfield University. No previous Italian language study is required. All programs begin with a 1-week language and cultural orientation. Choose between 4 academic programs: • Multi-Discipline • Intensive Italian Language Program • Study + Internship Program • Music Program (for music majors, in conjunction with Saint Louis College of Music) • Independent Study Courses Volunteer opportunities are also available. Students can choose from the Service Learning and Volunteering Program and the Service Learning and Active Citizenship course. Live in a shared student apartment, which includes an excellent meal plan. The discipline of history concerns itself with the stories and interpretations that provide meaning for human life. Just as with individuals, loss of historical memory makes societies, faith, movements, and ideas rootless. This is why Veritas has given special priority to the Christian study of history. To properly engage with other nations, whether through education, evangelism, or business, we must know their histories. We must understand our background and the backgrounds of others if we are going to develop effective relationships. Students will have the opportunity to study their fields for credit, as well as serve the Italian community in Rome, and enroll in our Veritas courses.
