Unlike many other study abroad programs, Athena offers its students programs that are focused on intense, cultural immersion which puts them in touch with the locals of their host country, elements of the host culture, and other international students from around the world to ensure a well-rounded, diverse experience.

API offers five wonderful locations in Italy to learn about and absorb the Italian culture and way of life. All programs are for undergraduate students. Classes are comprised of other foreign and American students. Semester, summer, and year terms are available for all programs, and a January intersession programs are available in Florence and Taormina.

What’s not to love about Italy? It is easily one of the most fascinating countries in Europe. Its colorful culture, famous cuisine, charming language, rich history, breathtaking landscapes, and extraordinary architecture attract students from all over the world to study and explore this marvelous country.

With over 15 programs offered in Italy, Arcadia University has a program for nearly every undergraduate student. Programs are tailored by Arcadia's College of Global Studies to provide academic programs that foster an appreciation for Italian language, culture, and way of life. Students may choose between programs offered in Rome, Florence, and Syracuse.

The CIMBA program offers semester, summer, and graduate study abroad opportunities with rigorous, high quality, professional courses taught in English designed to provide students with a meaningful international experience while allowing students to remain on schedule for graduation.

As a thriving economic center with particular strengths in the fashion, luxury goods and tourist sectors, the city of Florence also offers its inhabitants the chance to investigate myriad aspects of the contemporary Italian world. In addition, Florence is an excellent location for access to other sites and cities in Tuscany, Italy and Europe.

Overlooking the historical center, the university is located on top of the Janiculum, Rome’s highest hill. With its own garden of Roman pines it offers a spectacular view of Rome and the surrounding hills.

The Florence International Film School is a highly unique and innovating study abroad program located in the heart of Florence, Italy. We collaborate  the Leonardo Da Vinci School to offer the highest quality education in Italain Language, Art and Culture.

The American Institute for Roman Culture offers extraordinary programs and projects for university students and scholars in a unique interdisciplinary learning environment. We live and work in the heart of Rome, as do our students, with a network of local scholars and ties to Italian superintendencies (including the Italian Ministry of Culture, MiBAC) and foreign institutes.
