CIEE Semester Internships CIEE Semester Global Internships are 9 to 13-credit, 12-week programs that feature a full-time internship (approximately 30 hours weekly), a seminar, and an optional 3 to 4-credit academic course online. CIEE Semester Intern and Study Abroad Programs are 12 to 14-credit, 12-week programs that feature a part-time internship​ (approximately 20 hours weekly), a seminar, and two academic courses.

These are offered throughout the year to university-level students from around the globe, with the option to enroll in a weekly, monthly, summer, quarterly, semester, or academic year term. Stay in low-cost housing on campus or at a nearby apartment or hostel. You can also stay with a host family to experience the local way of life in your host country. You can earn academic credit for completing any of our study abroad programs. Upon completion, you will receive (or request) transcripts, certificates, or letters of attendance. The Program in Food, Sustainability, & Environment (FSE) offers a semester-long, interdisciplinary certificate program open to all students. It is particularly well-suited to those hoping to cultivate a career in the food or environmental industries or seeking to continue their education at the graduate level. This program includes a series of co- and extracurricular activities, an integral curriculum component. These include guest lectures, site visits, field trips, culinary activities, research projects, and other hands-on experiences. Students can directly observe the concepts studied in the classroom and analyze issues surrounding food, sustainability, and the environment in an Italian and global context from varied perspectives. Certificate Program Curriculum FSE students receive a certificate of completion. To meet the requirements, they must complete the program’s 1-credit core course and at least 3 electives for a total of 10 credits. The required 4-credit Italian course is offered in addition to the FSE curriculum. This allows participants to complete the program with 14 credits. Please feel free to contact us for more details!
