We believe traveling abroad develops independence and maturity by expanding students' knowledge of the world and increasing their understanding of other cultures.

We welcome approaches from potential partners – schools, orphanages, hospitals and so on – from across the developing world; wherever they are or whatever they do, we will try to meet their needs. And we welcome ideas from potential volunteers too; if a volunteer has an idea for a new program or destination, we will do everything we can to enable them to work in their own way.

Rustic Pathways programs are more than simple touring adventures in the world’s most exotic locations. Many of our trips involve gaining real life skills that challenge students to grow and learn as they travel.

The French Experiment in International Living takes the students to whole new level of explorations and immersions as they choose whether to take intensive photography classes, learn about the French cuisine, spend a summer meeting well-known chocolatiers, or improve their artistic prowess in some of France's most enchanting cities namely, Annecy, Lyon, Nantes, Paris, and Perpignan.
