Volunteer in Chiang Rai at the Elephant Forest Refuge to improve the lives of the freely roaming elephants living there. This refuge has 40 acres of bamboo forests, grassland, and swamp. Volunteers on this project take part in ethical tasks that are solely for the benefit of the elephants. Volunteers will be planting and cutting elephant grass and fruit trees, may participate in weekly vet checks, feed the elephants. partake in observation tasks and engage in light construction work of the refuge itself.

This sanctuary is dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of wild animals previously exploited as pets, used for profit within the tourist industry, or rescued from the illegal wildlife trade. Most of the animals residing at the sanctuary were maltreated before they arrived, suffering from abuse, malnutrition, neglect, and improper care. Many of them arrived with permanent disabilities; hence, cannot be returned to the wild. The mission is to give these animals the best quality of life possible in captivity. Daily activities are rotated among volunteers and include: * Preparing food and feeding the animals * Enrichment for the animals to provide stimulation thought and fun; including making puzzle feeders and watching as the primates work out how to get to the food inside, freezing their food on hot days, or smearing honey in hard-to-reach areas in the bears' enclosure. * Cleaning the cages and enclosures * Providing the animals with water * Walking in the forest to collect the best leaves for the primates * Maintaining the center

Length: 4-6 months | Intakes: January 2026 Join the Global Leadership Programme, designed to provide you with hands-on experience supporting the work of an international development charity. We are looking for passionate graduates, who are keen to learn about global challenges, work with youth and define their own purpose. After an initial period of training, you will be placed in one of our overseas hubs as a Group Mentor and Project Implementor, you will be supporting our in-country team through coordinating group projects and supporting our project participants on their journey to becoming global citizens. Your days will be filled with exciting challenges and fulfilling experiences, including: 1. Coordinating and delivering impactful project activities with our local partners. 2. Embark on a leadership role as you guide your group of project participants through immersive and exciting cultural activities. 3.
