Sport unites the people of Kenya. It is a way to socialize, and almost every youth is involved in sports. Despite many locals being exceptional sports players, they are unable to reach their true potential due to inadequate training facilities and equipment. The most popular sports played in Kenya are football (soccer) and rugby. The Wandering Aardvarks has partnered with various local teams and institutions to offer the best experience for our volunteers. Join us and help the community by bringing people together and giving them a focus. The program is dependent on the time of the year. During school time, you can help teach PE and train Kenya's future star athletes in the soccer program, which runs from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. On school holidays (April, August, and December), you can help train the local teams and share your skills with as many children and youth as you can. You also have the choice to volunteer on weekends.

Andy's Volunteers and Travel Agency offers an enriching experience in Nairobi, Kenya, through our community school sports program. Volunteers can coach a range of sports, including football, basketball, tennis, and netball, helping nurture and develop the athletic skills of local students. Your role involves either coaching or playing sports with the students. This program doesn’t require previous experience since you’ll work under the guidance of teachers. If you do have experience, you can create and implement a full coaching plan. You also propose a tournament with another school at the end of the program. The schedule of sports activities is from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm daily; you can help with simple tasks at the school before this period. This sports coaching program is ideal for solo volunteers or groups.

Spend four weeks over the summer making a difference at a stunning coastal location near Diani, Kenya. Participants live and work in the communities in and around Msambweni, receiving daily support from the Africa & Asia Venture (AV) project leader. Tasks include assisting with English and introducing after-school activities for sports, music, drama, art, and more. Participants will also undertake community projects in the village and the school, including building or renovating classrooms, painting, mixing cement, and helping with village life. There will also be time for snorkeling, swimming, and exploring Diani.
