AIFS Abroad in Florence, Italy: Semester

Spend a semester or academic year in the classic city of Florence with AIFS Abroad. Choose from a wide variety of courses at the AIFS Abroad Global Education Center with credit awarded by Fairfield University. Select the Traditional Academic Program to begin or advance your Italian language skills and select courses from a variety of subjects. During the Spring semester, a Fashion Management and Marketing Program is also available. AIFS Abroad in Florence includes a one-week orientation before the semester begins to help you acclimate to life in Italy. Fall semester orientation is on the coast of Tuscany, while spring semester orientation is in Rome. Live in a shared student apartment and receive a meal plan. On the Czech Republic: Arts Studios in Creative Writing, Contemporary Dance & Photography program, you learn about mechanisms artists employ to engage in political debate and promote the values of inclusion and social justice. You participate in daily workshops with professional artists and attend performances, exhibitions, and other cultural events. You may select one of the three studio workshops: photography, creative writing, or contemporary dance. Photography students work with experimental photo methods such as photogram, collage and montage, or stop-motion photography, and prepare their own exhibition at a public art gallery. Creative writing students write fiction under the guidance of a local novelist, read and critique contemporary Czech fiction and poetry, and present their own work at a final literary evening. Contemporary dance students take part in daily studio work, attend performances, learn about trends in Czech dance, and create a final dance performance.

During my exchange in Perth i had a great time and met nice ppl especially my flatmates who also were doing the exchange. During the one semester i was able to see almost all most important places in WA including roadtrip up Exmouth and down Epserance which were definitely highlights of the whole exchange. The stay in Australia wil stay stay in my memory for a long time!
