The four-week programme for college students aged 18+ delves into the business of football in partnership with one of the world's most successful football clubs, Manchester City. In this unforgettable summer study experience each of the fundamental aspects of the game will be explored through four modules. These are: Foundations of the Global Sports Industry, Cross-Cultural Leadership & Strategy, Financial Management & Marketing and Innovation, Legacy & The Future of Sport.  ​The programme will be taught through lectures, workshops, tutorials and visits, which will examine real-world case studies and bring students into contact with industry professionals from Manchester City Football Club and beyond. Students should expect to gain a highly developed understanding of how football operates beyond the pitch, making it suitable for anybody interested in a career in the sports business.

Explore the writings of Northern England spanning from the beginnings of English literature to the present day. The four-week class will take place on-site in Northumbria, United Kingdom, at Alnwick Castle—a location famous for being the grounds of Hogwarts in the films Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Along the way, we will read the story of the poem written in English; learn about the lives and sagas of the Vikings; and discuss the horrors of the classic Gothic novel, Dracula. In addition to the class readings, we will take an excursion to a reconstructed Viking settlement in York, walk the Whitby streets that Dracula stalks in Bram Stoker's famous novel, and visit the locations in Edinburgh that served as the inspirations for Harry Potter. After the course, students will better understand the contributions that Northern England has made to the landscape of British Literature.

The SMOAC is a short introductory module that aims to give you an overview of the breadth of today’s offshore and maritime operations and provides an introduction to distance learning and academic research and writing. This 8-week module introduces you to sustainable maritime operations as a subject and distance learning as a study method before committing to a full degree program. Suitable for all professionals, regardless of level or seniority, the SMOAC course offers an excellent foundation for your future studies. It is ideal for those specializing in Ship Management, Port Operations, Marine Renewables, Offshore Oil and Gas, and Engineering and Defence.

Spend the summer studying Shakespeare and the Jacobean playwrights with this accredited programme. Over the course of 8 weeks, you will rehearse and perform two abridged plays: one by Shakespeare and one by a Jacobean playwright.
