Forum-Nexus: A Positive Undergraduate Experience
March 26, 2026by: Steve Tran - United StatesI had a really good experience with Forum-Nexus overall. The program gave me the chance to travel a lot, meet great people, and learn more about different countries in a way that felt interesting and personal. I liked that the staff was friendly and helpful, and the hotels were some of the best I’ve stayed in. Some visits were better than others, but the overall balance of academics, free time, and cultural experiences made the program worth it. I’d recommend it to other students, especially if they want to make friends and grow through travel.

March 26, 2026by: Ella Hicks - United StatesThis summer abroad program was one of the most rewarding experiences I’ve had as an undergraduate.” “It was thoughtfully organized, with a great balance of academics, cultural exploration, professional visits, and enough independence to grow on my own.” “The instructors were engaging, knowledgeable, and encouraged real discussion, which made classes feel useful beyond the classroom.” “I especially liked being able to connect what we learned to our travels.” “The staff was welcoming and supportive throughout, and I’d absolutely recommend the program to other students.
Three Months of Great Experiences
March 24, 2026by: Adison B.I would recommend CIEE Study Abroad to a friend easily. I had such a great time, with my peers and teachers throughout these three months. I was always able to ask a CIEE staff member any questions and they would help me immediately. I felt straight at home when arriving, and I believe many people I recommend will feel the same.
What an Excellent Program
November 25, 2025by: R J - United StatesI believe if any student can participate in this program, they should take real advantage of it. They offer a lot of subjects, Economics, Art, Business, Culture, Design, Sociology, History, Political Science. The knowledge one gain is massive and in a lot of disciplines. I am really happy to participate the connections i made is totally worth it. Forum Nexus staff are very knowledgeable, they know what they are doing. not to mention that they are easily approachable and always prepared for any problems could occur.
Forum-Nexus Study Abroad: A Marathon of Excitement
October 04, 2025by: Janie Kilby - United StatesMy time with Forum-Nexus was fast-paced, exciting, and educational. It was the perfect mix of classes, studying, sight-seeing, socializing, and learning first-hand. I learned a lot from the International IQ class and it prepared me to visit each city on the itinerary. My hospitality internship allowed to me communicate and network with the international hotels and restaurants we stayed at and visited. Forum-Nexus allowed me to step-up and take advantage of being abroad.
A Summer That Transformed My Outlook
September 09, 2025by: shouryaa sharma - IndiaJoining Forum-Nexus was one of the most enriching experiences of my life. Traveling across Europe while taking classes gave me a unique blend of academic learning and cultural immersion. Every city brought new perspectives, professional visits helped me understand international business at a deeper level, while group activities and friendships made the journey even more memorable. The program pushed me out of my comfort zone and taught me adaptability, teamwork, and global awareness. I left with stronger career skills, a network of friends from around the world, and countless memories that I’ll cherish forever.
I have zero complaints!
March 03, 2025by: Sean Forsythe - United StatesI am so happy, I will be recommend it to everyone at my home place. It has been so cool to basically have a guided yet laid back tour across Europe. You are all amazing, perfect balance of there to support us but still give us tons of freedom. Went to 2 professional visits, but they were super cool. felt I learned a lot and they were interesting. The independent cultural visits were encouraging us to get out and see the amazing sights is perfect. It made me appreciate where i was so much more. The accommodation was amazing!
I enjoyed the program and its layout
February 16, 2025by: S J - United StatesIt helped to open my mind and learn how to navigate being alone in another country. Also introduced me to new experiences. I loved the staff. I particularly loved the energy that Hugo brought as well as his wisdom. Professional visits were unique experiences that gave us opportunities not everyone would get part in. Hotels were really great. My level of international IQ certainly improved. I also have new perspectives given we have also seen the countries that we learned about first hand. I have much more of a grasp on the understanding.
Overall a great experience
January 21, 2025by: Madison Sirriano - United StatesIndependent cultural visits went well. as expected. many of the ICVs were things i planned on doing. I was unimpressed by the professional visits they felt very uninteractive. Organization needs improvement, sticking to the syllabi. I am happy that I came here I have made amazing friends and I have been able to visit places that I would never have ever known about. IT was a great experience but somehow expensive for my budget.

Home Away From Home!
June 19, 2024by: Kinley Anderson - United StatesProgram: USAC The Netherlands: The Hague - Undergraduate Courses
Stepping into a new culture can be daunting and yet exciting at the same time. When I first arrived to The Hague I was so excited to finally experience life in another country and culture, but I quickly realized how scary and difficult it can be to remove yourself from the familiar, the comfortable. To me, studying abroad is all about learning to expand your horizons and put yourself out there. It is the perfect opportunity to discover yourself in a new way and grow as a person. I was very nervous that I would go through this experience without making any real friends, but boy was I wrong. I made some of the closest friends I've ever had and now I have meaningful connections across Europe! I would be lying if I said there weren't some tears shed at the airport when I left. Thuas is such a good school in my opinion. The building itself is gorgeous, but the people are even better. It's a welcoming environment with classes taught by passionate instructors. I enjoyed all of my lecturers during my exchange. Also, the city itself has so much to offer. Exploring the beach, new cafes and parks are some of my favorite memories there. Another cute town super close is Delft, which I highly recommend. So fun to explore especially once spring and summer finally arrive. Amsterdam is also pretty close, and that city quickly became my favorite in the world these past several months. Dutch weather may be windy, but trust me the second the sun comes out everything seems to come to life around you, it's really a cool thing. I can't recommend The Hague enough, but in general I believe that doing a study abroad will benefit you no matter where you go!
I loved this program!
June 04, 2024by: Gigi Mcbride - United StatesI loved this program. I enjoyed the fast paced nature of moving around and getting to experience so much. Hugo is upbeat and lively and it helped to get everyone excited and ready to explore. I am happy that i chose this program, I have got to learn and experience new cities. Lake gard was my favorites, overall all cities were great! I enjoyed the class formats and the IQ back to back. I would totally recommend this program and would apply for it again!
I really enjoyed it!!!
April 01, 2024by: Kelsey Lynne - United StatesIt was amazing!! Hugo is so much fun and informative. I always wanted to travel and this made it so much easy for me to do it! It was my first time and I wasn't alone. Loved the cities we went to: Barcelona, Amsterdam, Greece, Milan, Lake Garda, Paris. Hotels were very nice. Classes were little long but very informative. I really enjoyed Laura as a professor, at times it was little stressful having to talk about things with no prior knowledge but she was amazing and have to stay in touch. I learned a lot for future professional endeavours.
My time in Amsterdam was truly an unforgettable experience.
March 27, 2024by: Olivia Cavallaro - United StatesProgram: IES Abroad Amsterdam – Social Sciences & Humanities
When I was first looking into studying abroad, Amsterdam was not on my radar. Originally, I wanted to go to a bigger city like London or Paris. I was very confident I was going to go to one of those locations. After doing more research, I realized that Amsterdam aligned with what I wanted in a city. It was small enough for me to know where everything was, but almost everyday I was able to learn/explore something new. Whether it was walking by the canals or exploring a new museum, I was never bored. It sounds cliché, but Amsterdam will forever hold a special place in my heart. When I would travel on the weekends to other places, I would be excited to be back in my home country. I felt so safe and so at peace with where I was at. Also, I took classes at the University of Amsterdam. Unlike Penn State (My home university), the University of Amsterdam classes were spread across the city. I had to plan out my day to get to class, which was very different compared to what I am used to where I would just walk a couple minutes over to my class.
Overall Learned a lot!
March 05, 2024by: Kate Hansen - United StatesSuper great, I will have this experience in head forever! I learned so much general knowledge about the places I visited. Loved the places we went although I should have prepared for rainy weather in Amsterdam.
Wonderful Experience That Changed My Life!
January 31, 2024by: Audrey Balicki - United StatesI thoroughly enjoyed the program and would definitely participate again. I made a lot of new friends and loved all the cities especially Paris and Riva del Garda. As for academics, International IQ was fun and engaging and my knowledge definitely improved. The Art History class was interesting and truly helped me to gain a greater appreciation for art and its history in Europe. It's a wonderful experience that really changes your life and that's why I would recommend it to everyone!
Loved it
December 21, 2023by: Jasmine Chen - United StatesProgram: Study Abroad in Amsterdam, Netherlands with WorldStrides
I had a great time studying abroad with ISA. They took care of all the logistics so it was a smooth transition and I was able to focus on having fun in Amsterdam with a side of studying ;) The VU had many classes that fit into my preexisting biology major, so I was able to get the credits I needed. It was really easy to make friends both within the ISA program, as well as within the building we stayed in, since many other people studying abroad also lived there. I will always remember the adventures I had in Amsterdam and beyond with my friends, and am still in touch with many of them today!
Best Time & Experience!
December 18, 2023by: Riley Grier - United StatesI am so happy I came on this trip as I have gone to so many cool places, made great friends, and had so much fun! I loved every city we went to and I feel like I learned so much in class while still having the time to explore the cities. I think this was a great program. While the constant moving was a bit hard, we made it fun! The professors and staff made everything so great. Hugo is so much fun and really cares about the students. Nadine is so nice, chill and so organized, she's amazing! Ed was so kind, fun and knowledgeable!
