The Reggio Emilia program is ideal for students interested in studying Italian language, education, communications, and health issues in a charming midsize city in north-central Italy. Spend the spring semester in the classic city of Florence with AIFS. You’ll earn up to 16 credits through a variety of courses studying at Richmond, the American International University. Courses are taught in English or Italian, and no previous Italian language study is required. This program combines Florence’s long history in the field of fashion and luxury goods and specialized coursework to give students interested in a career in fashion a unique academic experience. They take a 3-credit language course, plus four mandatory fashion-related courses. Another credit is available by taking the optional Introduction to Italian Art course. AIFS in Florence includes a one-week orientation in Rome before the semester begins so students can acclimate themselves to the Italian language and culture. Live in a homestay or a shared student apartment located in different neighborhoods of the city center. Immerse yourself in Italian language and culture with a homestay. An optional meal plan is available and internet access is included in all housing. Temple University Rome offers a four-year Bachelor's degree program and well as a First-year Entry Year program (TREY) where students then complete Years 2-4 either at Temple University in Philadelphia or Temple University Japan. Temple University Rome offers study abroad semester or academic year programs of full-time study designed primarily for third-year undergraduate students. Students may choose from 55+ degree programs with topics ranging from art to international business, and from global studies to computer science. Internships for credit are available. Except for Italian language courses, all instruction is in English.
