We design our programs to provide engaging learning experiences with real outcomes in ways that are impossible to replicate in the traditional classroom. Living as part of a close-knit team on an ocean-going vessel, our students learn fundamental lessons beyond academics: teamwork, leadership, and personal responsibility. They receive academic credit from the University of South Florida, along with PADI scuba certifications and IYT sailing certifications. Our programs are designed to inspire students to realize that it’s the journey, not the destination, that matters the most.

Join us for an epic adventure in the Eternal City: Rome, Italy! This Spring 2026 trip will be led by English Professor Dr. Sarah Boggs, who loves Rome almost as much as she loves her children and husband. The campus where we will study in Rome is located right in the Historic Center near the Trevi Fountain. Campo De Fiori, The Pantheon, and a short walk to Castle San Angelo and Trastevere. Not only is Rome heartbreakingly beautiful with its 2000-year-old buildings, but the food, the people, the sound of the language, and the cappuccino will make it impossible for you not to fall madly in love with Rome. The program includes an excursion to the Saturnia Hot Springs and Siena. Refresh in the natural hot springs and then jump on the bus to Siena to experience one of the greatest towns in Tuscany. For more information, please attend an info session, and for a first-hand account of the experience, ask Sarah to get you in contact with one of her previous students from her last trip in 2023.

Istituto di Moda Burgo

Our method is based on a simple and intuitive concept with one aim: to make every kind of clothing. All bases are made freehand without using pre-built templates or graduated squares. At the end of the course, after creating numerous patterns, students can produce any outfit, ranging from a simple shirt to an elegant suit, from a skirt to a coat, and from underwear to wedding gowns. The Burgo method is both traditional and innovative; the flavor of the ancient tailoring tradition is combined with modern creativity, continually evolving. That’s why the practice and search for materials are fundamental and instrumental to the academic and professional preparation of future tailors. It’s highly important to have constant contact with the teacher, step by step. Each student is followed and advised, always with respect for individuality. For this reason, there cannot be more than 8 students per class.
