CIEE Summer Intern and Study Abroad are 6 to 7-credit, 6-week programs with a part-time internship (approximately 20 hours weekly), a seminar, and a 3-credit academic course. CIEE Semester Internships CIEE Semester Global Internships are 9 to 13-credit, 12-week programs that feature a full-time internship (approximately 30 hours weekly), a seminar, and an optional 3 to 4-credit academic course online. CIEE Semester Intern and Study Abroad Programs are 12 to 14-credit, 12-week programs that feature a part-time internship​ (approximately 20 hours weekly), a seminar, and two academic courses.

Spend a semester or academic year in the classic city of Rome with AIFS Abroad. Earn up to 17 credits studying at AIFS Abroad Global Education Center and receive credits from Fairfield University. No previous Italian language study is required. All programs begin with a 1-week language and cultural orientation. Rome Architectural Sketchbook is a three-week, multidisciplinary course that explores the various components of architecture in Rome, allowing you to focus on sites, design, and visual sketching. This course starts each July and is articulated in two modules: Architectural Sketching and Representation Techniques (choosing a specialization from Fine Arts, Model Making, and Video Production and Photography). Together with your classmate, with different profiles and artistic skills, you will work on-site at various locations that reflect diverse periods of art, architecture, and history in Rome. The course combines observation of these places' historic and contemporary contexts with the development of the creative process and refining of sketching techniques and personal style. Traditional sketching methodologies and techniques, such as visual sketching and illustration layout, as well as photo research and interior design, will be deepened during the program and enhanced by visits to Roman sites and architectural spaces. As a Final Project, you will complete a personal sketchbook using different representation techniques such as video, photography, or modeling.

Temple University Rome offers a four-year Bachelor's degree program and well as a First-year Entry Year program (TREY) where students then complete Years 2-4 either at Temple University in Philadelphia or Temple University Japan. Temple University Rome offers study abroad semester or academic year programs of full-time study designed primarily for third-year undergraduate students. Students may choose from 55+ degree programs with topics ranging from art to international business, and from global studies to computer science. Internships for credit are available.
