In our Bag Making & Leather Arts course, veteran Italian artisans teach students how to construct a bag from start to finish. Learn how to make sewing patterns, cut, skive (to reduce the thickness), and sew the leather applying the traditional rules of Italian craftsmanship. The goal is to produce high-quality leather bags for which Italy is well known around the world. During this time, students will have the opportunity to fully develop their creativity, mastering every leather-related technique, exploring all fields of employment, and manufacturing methods (both hand sewing and machine sewing). Depending on the length of the program, students will be able to produce a wide range of leather works, from small accessories and handbags to interior components and furniture. Our hands-on training course consists of lessons with the professor and individual practice in the school leather laboratory. Through this course, you will have access to the network of Accademia Aldo Galli and IED Italia. Academic Foundation year in Italian Creativity Art & Design represents an authentic excellence in the field of artistic education. Among its primary objectives is to promote the Made in Italy culture , with a particular focus on fashion, design, visual arts, and heritage preservation. The bilingual course, recognised by the Ministry of Education, Universities and Research ( MIUR ), is aimed at all those who are interested in accessing 1st level academic courses in the arts, design, fashion and heritage conservation, but do not reach the 12 years of schooling necessary for admission. The course is aimed at students who possess an upper secondary school degree or another recognised qualification acquired after at least 11 years of education . Furthermore, a B1 level of English, as verified by an academic certificate and/or via a Skype interview, is also required for access. It is also recommended that students attain the A2 level of Italian. The program starts in November and lasts 8 months.

Our summer program is designed for teens from all academic backgrounds who are excited about immersing themselves in Italian culture and lifestyle. The Summer Graphic Design course runs for four weeks in June, with a one-hour Italian language course, and meets on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. This short summer course, held in English, is a basic but intensive introduction to the graphic design process.
