Learn how to develop your own artistic style and personal expression in this two-week summer course at Accademia Galli. It trains you to translate and understand reality, so you can transform visual information into a representative drawing or painting. You develop artistic techniques and skills while enhancing your sense of proportion, light, and depth, and creating an original expression of ideas. Structured as a hands-on workshop, the program combines sessions, group discussions, and experience-based readings. There are also live drawing sessions in the museum to interact with artistic masterpieces, as well as “en plein air” sessions during boat trips in a lake environment. The course concludes with a final project. The Painting and Artistic Drawing course at Accademia Galli is aimed at new high school graduates and postgraduate/academy students who wish to further develop their knowledge. It is also aimed at all art enthusiasts. A high school diploma and an upper-intermediate level of English are necessary for admission. This course starts each June.
