Your Summer Language + Culture program and Seville lasts 4 weeks (or up to 12 weeks) and is designed for students from all academic backgrounds. You will enroll in CIEE courses. From Lima the program is easily poised to travel to other culturally and geographically rich areas of the country. Experience the heart of Inca culture and history in Cusco. Travel to Cusco is one of our highlight excursions that provides a contrast to Lima and allows us to explore and contemplate the majesty of Machu Picchu, the ancient citadel city of the Inca. Other easily accessible areas of exploration for the program are Paracas and the Ballestas Islands as well as Huacachina and the desert sand dunes. Through partnerships with top universities in Lima a variety of academic topics can be explored and studied. Adelante Abroad offers multiple five-week Observation and Research Programs to students who want to earn credit for around 200 hours of research in Scotland over the summer. Placements include Psychology, Horticulture, Veterinary, Animal Behavior and Welfare, National Wildlife Rescue, Royal Zoological Society, and Speech Pathology & Hearing Sciences. One of the most popular sectors is our psychology internships abroad, where candidates can research eye witness identification or visual-spatial memory. Students may be required to have relevant skills for their chosen sectors. Applicants should be current students looking to add knowledge and expertise to their resumes.

The USAC program is based at the University of Alicante, which has a student population of 30,000 and offers two diverse academic areas: Intensive Language and Spanish and European Studies. Have the opportunity to study the Spanish language and the complexities of Spanish and contemporary European societies through a wide selection of academic courses, as well as through personal interaction with the host culture. You may stay for one semester or a full year. Our intensive approach allows you to complete up to two years of university foreign language coursework in only one semester, helping meet Spanish minor or major requirements. The summer Alicante Program offers two sessions, a five-week session and a four-week session with the option of a four-day visit to Madrid. This program is ideal for those unable to participate in semester or yearlong programs. Students may combine intensive Spanish language courses and elective courses for a minimum of 3 credits and a maximum of 6 credits per summer session. A sailing course is also offered in summer to take advantage of living so close to the Mediterranean Sea.
