Great turtle time!

October 10, 2026Daniel Walsh - United States

Overall, turtle conservation was a great experience. I got to see many, many turtles throughout the Aribada. Though, much of the day was boring due to a lack of work and activities to do during the day.

Very good summer in Nagoya

October 10, 2026Tobias Hawes - United States

I am very glad that I came to Nagoya this summer. My Japanese skills improved immensely, I started a new martial art (though I'm still not very good at jiujitsu yet), I made many new friends, and I was able to see and do things I wouldn't have been able to otherwise. I liked how much free time we had; I and many of my classmates spent a weekend or two traveling outside of the program, and that was beside some very interesting field trips. Overall, I think this was a very good program.

Best time ever!

October 10, 2026Habiba Khan - United Kingdom

Taking part in the Thailand programme was a memorable experience and gave me the opportunity to immerse myself in a new culture while gaining teaching experience. I enjoyed working with the students, meeting other participants and exploring local areas outside the organised activities. One of my favourite memories was unexpectedly making friends with a local at a 7-Eleven, who drove us back to our hotel, recommended places to visit and even had a karaoke session with us in the car! Moments like this made the experience feel special and showed me how welcoming people could be. The programme helped me step outside my comfort zone and develop my interpersonal skills. I would recommend it to anyone who is open-minded, willing to learn and keen to experience a different culture.

Spent a month volunteering with the turtles in ostional. Such an incredible experience to see the arribada and all of the turtles in the night. Beach and sunsets were so beautiful and I met so many amazing cool people!

An amazing time in Chengdu!

October 10, 2026Alex Pan - United States

I participated in a two week program at LTL Chengdu, and I had an amazing time while learning a lot! My instructor Wei was super friendly and dedicated, and I could not have imagined a better teacher. She tailored her instruction specifically to my goals and used real world situations to teach so I could have a more immersive and rich experience. Not only did my Chinese language skills improve, but I also learned a lot about the local culture, food, and lifestyle — things I could never get a chance to experience in a traditional classroom. I highly recommend LTL Chengdu and my teacher Wei!

Guatemala Experience

October 10, 2026Nikolai Langille - United States

I volunteered through this organization in summer of 2026 in Antigua Guatemala. Such a wonderful program. I felt safe and welcomed. My volunteer experience was appreciated.I was able to interact with the locals and experience Guatemalan Culture. I had plenty of time to also engage in tourist activities and brush up on my Spanish speaking skills. The program is very affordable for the solo traveler. I would volunteer with this organization again. I had a great time traveling abroad. I love the Latin-American culture. Awesome people and good culture.

Spanish classes were good I’m definitely improving which is spectacular. The volunteering was really cool for turtle conservation - not much sleep but a whole lot of turtles. Haven’t finished program but am looking forward to Manuel Antonio.

Preparing for Clinical Training and Growing Into the Doctor I Want to Become

October 10, 2026Isla Cooper - Anguilla

Being in my third year of the MD programme, I have started thinking more seriously about the kind of doctor I want to become and the skills I will need once I begin working with patients. There is still so much for me to learn, and sometimes the amount of knowledge required can feel overwhelming. At the same time, I find it motivating to see how the things I study now will eventually help me understand patients and make informed decisions. I want to feel prepared when I enter a clinical environment, not only because I know the theory, but because I can use that knowledge in practice. For me, building that confidence step by step is one of the most important parts of my medical education.

China Has My Heart!

October 10, 2026Jack Peterson - England

My 6 months as an Au Pair in China with Masons Au Pair were honestly unforgettable! I had such a lovely time exploring China, making new friends, and becoming part of a wonderful host family. They even threw me a birthday party, which was so sweet and really made me feel like part of the family! The Masons team were brilliant and always happy to help whenever I needed anything. I also really enjoyed the Mandarin classes and all the fun activities with the other Au Pairs. The whole experience was absolutely lovely, and I can't believe how quickly those 6 months flew by! I'd definitely recommend Masons to anyone thinking about becoming an Au Pair in China! ❤️

Food Rescue in Porto the perfect volunteering in Portugal!

October 09, 2026Michael Rehder - Sweden

My volunteer project with "Food Rescue" in Portugal was incredibly rewarding. I got off to a fantastic start with an information meeting where the coordinators explained in great detail what was expected of me and how I would contribute during my three weeks in Porto. Once on site, I was well looked after at the locations where I applied my skills, and I received excellent support from the local staff. The accommodation at the Hostel was very pleasant; it was well-located in Porto and had everything I needed. Kindly Regards Michael Rehder

really happy with my experience at NAU - in my third year of PreMed now

October 09, 2026Tariq Bashir - United Kingdom

Premed taught me that you cant always rely on the subjects you already know well. Biology was always easier for me but I had to put more effort into chemistry and some of the other topics. I started spending more time reviewing the material and going back to things I didnt understand the first time. The study resources were really useful for that because I could work through difficult topics at my own pace. Over time I became more disciplined with my studies and more confident about tackling subjects that used to feel difficult. I think that is something I will take with me into the next stage of my education.

Had an incredible time in Danang Vietnam

October 09, 2026Elaine M - United Kingdom

I spent two weeks in Vietnam with Gotoco and had a really positive experience! My group taught English in a preschool, which was really rewarding and gave me valuable classroom experience. We also took part in a cultural exchange with a local university, which helped me develop my public speaking skills. Outside of teaching, I really enjoyed the day trips around Da Nang and trying food at local restaurants with the other participants. The staff were lovely and supportive throughout. Having our flights booked for us was especially helpful, and they were flexible with my plans to travel independently before and after the programme. Overall, I really enjoyed my time in Vietnam and would definitely recommend the experience!

My teachers

October 09, 2026Brandon Gregory - Australia

I had a really great experience at this Chinese learning school! The teachers, especially Ann and Jamie, were amazing and genuinely helped me improve my Chinese. They were patient, encouraging and always willing to explain things when I didn’t understand. Their teaching made learning Chinese much more enjoyable, and I became a lot more confident in my speaking and understanding. You can tell that they really care about their students and want everyone to do well. I’m really grateful for all their help and would definitely recommend this school to anyone looking to improve their Chinese!
