The Intern Group

During my internship, I contributed to a sustainability project focused on improving environmental performance and supporting responsible business practices. I assisted with research, data collection, and analysis related to sustainability initiatives, including carbon management and resource efficiency. This experience allowed me to better understand how organizations integrate sustainability strategies into their operations. The internship strengthened my analytical, research, and problem-solving skills while giving me practical exposure to sustainability reporting and environmental impact assessment. Overall, the experience was a 10 out of 10. The Intern Group supported me and guided me throughout the entire process. Not only did I gain practical experience through my internship, but the social and cultural activities they organized every weekend—such as museum visits, cruises, and trips to amusement parks—were also wonderful. It was a great opportunity to learn a lot while having a fun and enjoyable time with other interns in New York. The accommodation was also excellent. I stayed in a self-contained apartment, and the location was very convenient.

I would honestly recommend this experience to anyone who asked. From work to free time I had so much fun and such unique experiences. I interned with a company called Align Consultancy and Agency, a business to business sales company. I was the first intern they had that did calls and I was so glad that from day 1 they threw me into the deep end and made me make calls. It immediately boosted my confidence and I learnt much quicker. I do also want to say that although they pushed me right into the calls, they were always there to help and I never felt like I was abandoned to the work. The people at Align were also really fun and welcoming. If you have a chance I would highly recommend working with them. Now, for the free time. I consider myself very lucky to have the group I had. From those who arrived with me and those already there, everyone was so welcoming. I didn't have an issue with a single person and never felt left out. I was glad that there was another group that had been there before I arrived so they could show me around this city and all the best places to go out. I consider them all my friends and will do for years to come. You will meet new people and make new friends who without this experience you would never have ever interacted with. It will make you a more self confident person and give you memories you'll look back on forever. I will forever love Dublin and miss the people I met there.
