Meteorology Internships in United Kingdom

My experience in Thailand has been so fun! I got to see a lot of the major temples and sites that are a must visit. I made many friends with the other interns here. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. They helped me with any questions I had or anything in general. Overall my experience was amazing, 10/10 would recommend to anyone on the fence about it! I would even come back if I could!

At the first day of my internship programme there was a orientation programme for 3 days. they told us about the property how they runs & which department is situated where in the hotel. I have completed my internship programme from JW Marriott. I enjoyed & learned various skills such as multitasking, Communicating, learning to deal with diversity & dealing with deadlines are diffrent when you are working for others. The internship helps me to enhance my skills in kithchen.

The best thing you need to know about Linguistic Horizons is the great support system. I often communicated with Nicole from the start of my application, my departure and all the way to the end of my internship, and she was absolutely fantastic. So nice, friendly and helpful and willing to hear you out always! I had some issues with finances and my placement and she sorted it out like nothing. I would recommend this experience not only because of the the prospects of being abroad and immersion, but for the cultural and work life that awaits you. Loved everything about my experience and I'm sure you will too!

Linguistics Horizon provided me the most AMAZING experience doing an internship abroad. I worked in a daycare in Peru assisting children in their everyday tasks. From assistance to placement, finding somewhere to live, ensuring I was surrounded by people of my age & demographic I can hands down say I reflect on this experience as the best summer I have ever had. 20/10 would do again!

During the placement process, The Intern Group only had one mechanical engineering option to offer me at a company based in Colombia and had to switch to a fully remote position. The situation was unfortunate because of the time zone differences and the workload was very independent. This wasn’t the internship I hoped for but it definitely challenged me professionally. The people that arrived the same time as I did + the accommodation made the whole experience worthwhile. Our experience coordinator, Erika, was very welcoming and helpful with everything we needed. We would have weekly meet ups to socialize and do fun activities together. The accommodation is full of other friendly students/travelers and I felt very safe, it’s comparable to a single dorm room.

Finding opportunities in the art & music world can be quite daunting at times, but Nicole made the process so easy! I was presented with several amazing opportunities across Europe, and I ended up working with a London firm that was a perfect match for my skill set. I really felt that Nicole took the time to get to know me and what my future career goals were, she even introduced me to other LH Alums in the music industry or others who were living in London. This experience has opened up many opportunities for me since returning to the US, I highly recommend working with Nicole to find your next adventure abroad!

Nicole and her team are wonderful. They quickly found the perfect internship for me after I spent months on my own struggling to get any response from companies abroad. I don't know if I would've gotten an internship in time if I hadn't contacted them.

Linguistic Horizons have done a good job in setting me up with an internship that matches my academic background. This is the first time I have travelled alone and lived in a foreign country. Right from the start I felt welcomed into my architecture internship experience. The first day I jumped right into hands-on tasks and learning the ins and out about French Architecture. I have learned a ton of skills that I'm now taking with me to look for a career.

Nicole helped me find an internship in my desired field, in my desired city, during my desired timelines. The company I was paired with gave me lots of flexibility over my archduke to arrange travel on long weekends. They also helped me grow and develop new skill sets. Nicole did a great job communicating and I felt supported. Awesome experience, and I highly recommend for anyone considering studying abroad/interning abroad. I would not have been able to find this internship myself, trust me I tried! Go see the world!

I had one of my best summers ever through Linguistic Horizons! As a “super senior” I had a hard time finding a study abroad program that perfectly matched what I needed, but Nicole was so adaptive and was able to piece together the absolute perfect program for me. And Peru is just awesome :)

This is a once in a life-time kind of program. The internship placements felt very personal and cultivated toward my professional goals. Nicole is always extremely friendly, conscientious, and quick to respond to emails/concerns/questions. I stayed in Spain and I can say that my Spanish vastly improved, especially because of the emphasis Nicole put on speaking Spanish the whole time. As awesome as the internship placement was, I also felt like there were lots of opportunities for weekend trips and to make friends with locals. I’d highly recommend it for people interested in cultural immersion.

I spent a summer interning in Urubamba, Peru. I worked at a museum in Calca translating documents and leading tours. I definitely improved my own language skills as a result. My host family was super sweet. My favorite part was the hikes that Linguistic Horizons planned!

This program was such a wonderful experience. I stayed in Madrid as one of their first digital nomads where I had the option to work from home while staying in Madrid. I worked with a Madrid marketing agency and sometimes would meet up with my boss to work together or grab coffee. This program was so flexible and fun I was able to travel all around Spain and Europe while adding a perfect internship to my resume. I made some of the best friends I’ve ever had and are still traveling/in contact with them today! The program directors are very involved and make sure you feel welcome in the destination of your choice. They also provide nights out with the other interns of that cohort while introducing new ones each month. I highly recommend this program to anyone wanting to be a world traveler without it impacting their career trajectories in a negative way. Thank you @theinterngroup!

I loved Linguistic Horizons. They provided me with so many opportunities, and I made so many good friends while there. Nicole Berry helped the other students and me with transitioning and feeling comfortable with living in Spain.

I started out determined to get a business internship in the fashion industry in France (but not Paris) through my own efforts. Unfortunately, I started searching a little too late and I was overwhelmed with my work, school & family commitments to be successful. Luckily, my advisors recommended Linguistic Horizons to me. They were the only company willing to find an internship for me that fit my criteria (instead of a cookie cutter position). Plus, they were able to do it on a shorter than normal time-line (2hich saved me and let me graduate on time). It turned out that the company and city that they placed me in was better than I could've ever planned and was exactly what I needed. The company was small and my supervisor understood my goals so they actually ended up teaching me everything about their business. I wasn't just a grunt, and I made professional and personal relationships that will last a lifetime.

Being able to spend the time that I did in the Sacred Valley of Peru was life changing. The people, the culture, the experience. Everything was just incredible! It is so hard to put this experience into words. Being able to experience Peruvian life is something I will always carry with me as the biggest learning experience of my life. It opened my eyes to so many new things, ideas, and ways of life. It is difficult to explain and it is something that just needs to be experienced!

Linguistic Horizons provided me the best customization options going into an international internship. Nicole worked with me to ensure I found the perfect internship with me and did her best to find multiple companies for me to choose from. Not only did she pair me with a company, but she also created a means of contact with other students from America doing a European internship. Through this I found a new friend who was also interning in Berlin. The company I worked for gave me a great experience and really helped me learn a lot. During my time abroad, Nicole also ensured that all the European interns knew about any potential protests and areas we should avoid due to potential dangers. She also personally checked in to make sure we were doing alright and having a good time at our internships.

I recently visited UK London. And i must say the experience was overwhelming, Iv often head of Cities that don’t sleep and i have now experienced it. The drive and dedication of everyone boarding the trains in a daily basis heading for work. The stability and the focus is what i fell in love with.

I had a great summer interning in the UK, I wish I would have more time to experience London but this opportunity was amazing! I met a lot of great people and grew a lot from being independent which will definitely help in future careers

Really loved my summer! I spent 2 months in the United Kingdom and BUNAC really helped along the way. I got my visa in a timely manner and had the best time. The living situation wasn’t too bad but could have been better
