Camp Counselor & Trip Leader Internships in Spain

I had such an amazing experience in Barcelona. The internship itself was wonderful, I learnt so much about the industry and working abroad with such a diverse group of people was brilliant. Isabel was an amazing rep, all of the events were so much well planned and took us all around the city. We had the chance to try food and see sights that I wouldn’t have found otherwise, and it was a great way to get to know the other interns on the programme! Barcelona is a lovely city and it felt like home in no time.

My experience in Thailand has been so fun! I got to see a lot of the major temples and sites that are a must visit. I made many friends with the other interns here. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. They helped me with any questions I had or anything in general. Overall my experience was amazing, 10/10 would recommend to anyone on the fence about it! I would even come back if I could!

The entire internship abroad experience was great! The Beyond Academy coordinators did a great job organizing activities that allowed us to experience the must-see parts of Barcelona, while also providing great recommendations for places to eat, explore, and navigate the city. I also really appreciated the wide variety of internship fields available. Overall, it was a great way to gain international work experience while experiencing life in Barcelona!

The internship experience in Barcelona was absolutely amazing both in the office and out of the office. Our local host Isabel was amazing when getting us acclimated to the city, as well as providing reccomendations and ensuring our safety. On top of that, her community events that she planned for our group were so much fun whether it was a day trip to the beach, going to dinner, or attractions like park guell. The internship on the other hand was a great work experience, and I learned so much about working abroad.

The program itself was amazing. I had a great placement. Work life is very fun and chill, but also enough work where I was learning a great amount. The program has a ton of opportunities to get together and do cool trips, but it also gives you the free freedom to travel. The two coordinators were awesome. Honestly made us feel so comfortable being in Barcelona.

I had a great experience with AIP Study Abroad Internships, especially because of how kind and helpful the staff was throughout the entire process. From the beginning, everyone I interacted with was incredibly friendly, responsive, and genuinely wanted to make sure I had a good experience abroad. Whenever I had a question or needed help with something, the AIP team was always easy to reach and willing to help. Moving abroad and starting an internship in another country can definitely be stressful at times, but having such a supportive staff made the whole experience much easier. They were welcoming, patient, and always made me feel like I had someone I could reach out to if I needed anything. Overall, I’m very grateful for everyone at AIP who helped me along the way and made my time abroad such a positive experience. I would definitely recommend AIP to anyone considering an internship abroad!

Amazing experience, I could not have asked for a better provider to guide me through this journey! Nisha and Tyler were the best as they helped me navigate my first couple days here and made it much easier for me.

This has been so great, both Tyler and Nisha have been such great resources and have helped me out a ton. Wonderful experience and I would it again. I have enjoyed every minute with my job as well as my coworkers and couldn’t have asked for a better placement.

Thanks to AIP, I had the opportunity to participate in an amazing internship in Valencia, Spain. I was able to learn, meet many new people, and experience life in a completely different country. Deciding to do an internship through AIP was easily one of the best moves I’ve made. The team made the whole process super simple and stepped in to guide me every step of the way. AIP matched me with a role that aligned directly with my academic background and long-term career goals, rather than just placing me in a generic position.

Thanks to AIP, I did a 2 month internship in Spain. Nisha and Tyler were very helpful with the placement process and making sure everything ran smoothly. 10/10 and I 100% recommend doing AIP if you’re looking to intern abroad.

During my 6 weeks in Barcelona I was given the opportunity to intern at a consulting firm and gain hands on experience working with Catalonias sustainability strategy. I worked hybrid so during my free time I was able to take weekend trips and explore the city. Beyond organized activities for their interns, curating community and providing opportunities to explore parts of Barcelona I otherwise wouldn’t have known existed. I met people everywhere I went and made some friendships that will last a lifetime. I am so grateful to beyond for facilitating a wonderful experience.

I spent ten weeks in A Coruña in summer of 2019. It was an amazing experience and I felt like I really was able to learn the language and the culture. Highly recommend to anyone looking for something authentic and immersive.

My internship in Barcelona was an amazing experience that went far beyond just professional growth. The company I was paired with was genuinely interesting and educational, and Beyond makes sure that you are supported and have a sense of community throughout your stay. However, what truly made the experience stand out were the people. From our community coordinator to my fellow peers, I met some of the most interesting people and was lucky enough to form friendships. By the end of the internship, I left not only more confident and capable, but with an established community in the city. I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity and it would recommend it to anyone interested.

This internship was amazing, I definitely got to experience a lot of Barcelona, and that was massively influenced by the experiences provided by Beyond Academy, not only where we visited but also it allowed us a chance to meet the other interns who I spent most of my time with throughout the internship! Our group orientation leader Isabel was also a big part in why the experience Beyond Academy provided was so amazing. The only thing I would improve is the work experience itself, I would be prepared to not have the work itself meet your specific requirements, but there is definitely opportunity to raise these concerns while you’re there with Beyond Academy but also the workplace itself as my company was more than happy to give me more work when I was looking for it :)

If what your looking for is extra work experience on your CV and you have the funds to participate in something like Beyond Academy, I would say why not? You get to meet some really amazing people, grow your network a little and see a new city that you may have never been to before. I really enjoyed the one on one work meeting, and all the activities that Beyond Academy had to offer, you will definitely never be bored. While I don't think they had to best placement, i still learned a lot at my place of work and got to try something I previously didn't think about doing.

My time in Barcelona with Beyond Academy was a really remarkable experience. I got to live in an amazing city, surrounded by the beach and the vibrant Spanish and Catalan culture. To me, the most memorable parts of the program are all the friendships I made and the great nightlife! Our community coordinator Isabel was like a big sister, always ready to help, and organized fun events we all enjoyed a lot - often with drinks and meals included. We all felt very well-guided and it enhanced our experience a lot. The internship itself was very insightful and helped me in my professional growth, gave me knowledge about different industries, and I learned a lot. I also made valuable professional connections and felt like I had a good life-work-balance in Barcelona! Our accommodation was nice, with a view of the Sagrada Família. However, there was a very big hidden fee for the use of AC (which is very necessary in Barcelona), that was not properly communicated and not listed in the accommodation contract we all signed. Overall, the program is also a bit expensive for what you get. And you have to be really specific with the Beyond Academy staff who are responsible for role matching. They were sometimes inattentive to my requests, and you have to be very specific about what you do and do not want - in order to not be pushed into roles you’re not really interested in. I did end up finding a great host company, though.

Interning with Beyond Academy was a great experience. My community coordinator was always very responsive and happy to move the schedule to fit our needs. The company that I interned with allowed me to learn a lot and grow professionally. The accommodation allowed me to connect with like-minded people from all around the world, which was a very cool experience. All around I had an amazing time and would recommend this program to anyone looking to expand their horizons and grow.
