The Park educates visitors on the disposition of the crocodile and its behavioral characteristics. They also celebrate the diversity of northern Australia’s biota—home to tropical bird exhibits, reptiles, indigenous insect exhibits, and tropical woodlands. Featuring crocodiles and other North Queensland wildlife, this park is one of the largest of its kind. Education is an important part of the Park's mission, with crocodile numbers in decline due to climate change and human degradation of habitats. An extensive boardwalk system provides ample opportunities for visitors to explore the park and diverse habitats on foot, while a nearby lagoon features boat rides and an opportunity to see the park on the waters. The scenic river provides a glimpse into some of the native flora and fauna found in the area. Interns assist in catfish feedings and maintenance of the center's snake collection (depending on inclinations). Qualifications * Applicants must be 18 years old or older * We accept gap year students and college graduates * Positive attitude * 20 - 40 hours of commitment per week

Australia has one of the top systems of higher education in the world (23 of its universities are in the world's top 500) and is the 4th largest recipient of international students (behind the U.S., the U.K., and France). The country is known for its diverse and beautiful landscapes that span the largest island in the world (or the smallest continent, depending on your point of view). Five of Australia’s cities are ranked among the world’s top 30 for students to live in (Mercer), and cities such as Brisbane and Sydney are known for their eclectic and international makeup. Come and experience this amazing land through an API study or intern abroad program in Australia! Brisbane serves as the third most visited city in Australia behind Sydney and Melbourne. The city features popular tourist spots like The Wheel of Brisbane, City Botanic Gardens, Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, the Parliament of Queensland, and the Kangaroo Point Cliffs. But don't worry there is so much more for students to explore and learn more about! Brisbane hosts around 95,000 international students annually, and the international education programs contribute a good portion of revenue to Brisbane's economy.
