High School Study Abroad in Athens, Greece

I had an amazing experience on the term 3 Kingdoms trip to western Europe in 2019. The MEI community and teachers are very supportive and helped everyone get the absolute most out of their time abroad! Definitely recommend.

I had an amazing experience in Greece with MEI. All the teachers were genuinely interested in our wellbeing and making sure we all had an enjoyable experience. All the places that we stayed at were amazing and well set up and you could clearly see all the planning that went into our trip. Not once did I feel uneasy or unsafe. I can confidently say that I grew both as a student and a person on this trip. I actually really enjoyed all of our assignments and lessons and felt as though they really fit the places we were visiting. The people were great and I will cherish the memories that I made on this trip for many years to come!

I was a student on the Europe: Kingdoms trip 2 years ago. At first, I was quite nervous about travelling with a group of people I never met before but before I knew it I felt like we were family! I can honestly say that partaking in this MEI trip changed my life and I met some truly amazing people. I loved learning outside of a traditional classroom and exploring the beautiful cities we visited during our free time. The teachers who accompanied us on the trip were extremely supportive in both academics and personal issues. I came back from my MEI experience feeling more confident in myself and had a more positive attitude overall. I highly recommend MEI and I will never forget the amazing memories our group made together.

My summer last year at MEI was amazing. I did the Odyssey program and it was the experience of a lifetime. I got to see historical sites and artifacts I never thought I'd be able to, made many new friends, and learned English from some of the best teachers I've ever had. I could notice how my writing considerably improved in a single month. The only piece of feedback I can think of is how I would find it useful if a tracking sheet with a list of assignments was provided beforehand so that I can budget my time wisely, even if the sheet is subject to change. I assumed that I had more time than I did and had to finish my procrastinated projects at the very end. I recognize that the procrastination is definitely on me but it could have been helpful to know how many assignments were left to spread the work out more evenly. Other than this one piece the organization and quality of my learning were outstanding. The accommodations were amazing everywhere, and the day was a perfect balance between learning, guided expeditions, and free time. I would strongly recommend MEI to any student looking for a fun, memorable and productive summer program.

Travel For teens was an astonishing program that was a joy to be on. The counselors that take you on the trip help make it even better than it is attending to everyone’s wants and needs making the program even more enjoyable. On top of that, you get to experience the diverse culture in a new place with new people. Overall, I look forward to this program each and every year as it’s such an amazing way to be able to experience the world.

Noah had the best summer of his life in Greece. He made so many new friends and really liked the counsellors. He was nervous to travel on his own and after 24 hours felt so comfortable. Thank you for provinding him the summer of a lifetime!

Our son recently traveled with Westcoast Connection, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. From start to finish, the trip was incredibly well planned, and the staff’s communication with us was excellent. We always felt informed and confident that he was in great hands. He had an amazing time and came home with so many new friends and unforgettable memories. Some of the highlights he shared with us included the breathtaking hike through Cinque Terre, exploring the stunning Meteora Pinnacles, scuba diving in Naxos, and visiting the volcano in Santorini. Each activity was thoughtfully organized and gave him the chance to experience something truly special. We’re so grateful to Westcoast Connection for creating such a meaningful, fun, and safe adventure. We highly recommend them and would absolutely trust them with future trips!

Greece was an amazing trip because of Travels for Teen. It allowed me to meet new people from all over the world. This program provided me with great experiences, such as scuba diving, visiting historic monuments, and getting gelato after a long day out. It allowed me to get to know everyone in a way that I would have never experienced otherwise. I loved how we all bonded as a group with are counselors. Overall, my experience was what it was because of the amazing program the Travel for Teens offers.

Westcoast Connections has been an outstanding experience for our family. My daughter has done three summer European tours, and even with all that incredible travel, she still says Westcoast Connections is one of her favorites. The staff is warm, organized, and truly invested in the kids, creating a supportive environment that blends fun, growth, and meaningful friendships. We’re so grateful for the positive impact it’s had and highly recommend it to any family looking for an unforgettable summer program.

My daughter Hailey travelled to Greece and Italy with Westcoast Connection and sending her on this program was the best decision i've ever made. She made incredible friends, absolutely loved her staff and got to travel to so many new places. I felt very comfortable as WCC had great communication with the parents, and always kept us in the loop!

My son Jake did the Greece, the Islands, and Italy program and came home with so many new friends! The staff were fantastic and provided a great mix of supervision while still giving him the independence he was hoping for. The activities were fun and really well chosen for teenagers. Overall, he had an amazing experience, and we’re so glad he went. I would recommend Westcoast Connection to any family looking for this type of program for their child.

My daughter loved her experience. Great councelors, educators during the school year which helped to beauty a great vibe among all kids. Good mix of sight seeing, outdoor physical activity and free time.

Westcoast Connection was awesome to work with, the trip and itinerary were planned so well and my sonmade lots of new friends and had a great time. Some of his favorite parts were the hike in Cinque Terre and the Meteora Pinnacles, Scuba diving in Naxos, and the Volcano in Santorini . My son returned from the Greece, the Islands & Italy program and he absolutely loved it. Starting in Italy was perfect for him since he had never been before. He talked a lot about exploring Milan, the coast near Cinque Terre, and a really fun cooking class in Perugia that made him feel like he was “actually living there” instead of just passing through. He is a history buff, so in Greece he was blown away by the mix of history and adventure. Athens and the Acropolis made everything from school feel real, and spots like Meteora and Nafplio were big highlights. His favorite part was the time by the water. Beach days and boat trips in Sivota, then Naxos and Santorini with scuba diving, kayaking, and those “crazy sunsets” he keeps mentioning. He came home more confident, more independent, and with a great group of new friends. As a parent, I felt he was safe and well looked after the whole time. I would 100% recommend this program.

Superbly organized travel itinerary and excellent leadership team. Lots of fun daily adventures, strolling, sightseeing, and even scuba diving. Well balanced trip featuring both local immersion and group social activities. WCC is highly experienced and very professional.

Westcoast Connections runs fun teen travel programs! The trip offer a variety of sightseeing and adventure, while immersing the travelers in the Greece culture. The safety, staff, and communication with parents are top notch.

I went to Italy and Greece through Travel For Teens and it was the most fun I've ever had. We got opportunities to see the most iconic landmarks ever, from the colosseum in Rome to the parthenon in Athens. I went into this trip not knowing anyone, and came out with friends and memories to last a lifetime. Our director and counselor were so helpful, making sure I was always having the best time. Having the memories of walking around the Amalfi Coast with new friends will stay with me forever. The different things we got to do through TFT were so cool and something I wouldn't get to to otherwise. We got to cruise down the Amalfi Coast in a private boat and take a private cooking class with the sweetest Greek woman in a small town. These memories are unforgettable and I'd recommend a TFT trip for anyone who has the chance.

So much fun! My son loved his tour and made great friends. Such an experience...he loved touring and enjoying Greece and Italy. Just enough of everything. Accommodations and food were terrific. The counselors make the experience not only fun but safe...

Wow! This was such a great trip! I loved visiting Greece and Italy! I was very impressed with both Travel For Teens as a company, and the experiences they put together as a trip. When it comes to the company, everyone was super easy to get ahold of and communicate with. Everyone I have emailed have been so kind and helpful. On top of that, I loved my counselors so much! This trip was for finishing grades 9 and 10. My counselors did a great job of not 'babying' us, while still being clear with their expectations. They could have real conversations with us, but also had clear rules when it came to things like safety and kindness. They were also adaptive and could listen to our opinions. For example, one day we were all exhausted after an amazing activity, then walked the 20 minutes to our hotel in the hot sun. We were supposed to leave again that evening, walk all the way back to town, and get dinner. Instead, they recognized that it had been a tiring day for all of us, so they ordered take-out Italian pizza and salads and we all ate together at the hotel overlooking the Mediterranean. We played games and all had a much better time than if we had walked back into town. Additionally, the food, activities, and accommodations throughout the trip were great. We were in Greece and Italy, so the food would be hard to mess up, but this trip brought me to some of the best, while still reasonably affordable, restaurants across these countries. Probably my favorite activity of this trip was the Greek cooking class. It was such a fun experience and the food was delicious. Most breakfasts were basic but satisfactory hotel buffets, lunches were on-the-go food- pizzas, gyros, gelato, etc., and dinners were more the time for an official Greek/Italian meal. My counselors always made sure we weren't hungry and would let us order more if we were. The activities were so fun too! I loved all the guided tours we went on, beaches we stopped at, boat rides, and just exploring the cities. The hotels we stayed at were also great. They were comfortable and felt safe, and were in walking distance of most activities and sites. When we did need transportation between cities throughout the trip, we took comfortable Coach buses. I loved my trip so much! It was such a fun experience that I would highly recommend! I will definitely be going on another TFT trip next year!
