During our time exploring Fiji’s spectacular island chain, dive into crystal clear blue waters as you the swim with manta rays, reef sharks, exotic fish, and vibrant corals. Feel like a local as you explore limestone caves, cook a lovo, savor kava and visit indigenous villages.

Contribute to the marine conservation and research being done on the Yasawa Islands in Fiji. Explore the breathtaking beaches and majestic marine life that Fiji offers in this exciting and academic volunteer abroad opportunity. Volunteers will have the opportunity to work side-by-side with experienced researchers in the field, learning the complex and detailed data collection techniques employed in underwater research. During their time here, volunteers will embark on daily dives to assist in the creation of Marine Protected Areas while experiencing the beautiful variety of marine life this area has to offer. Volunteers will have three main duties including data collection on targeted fish species, coral reef and mangrove habitat mapping and educational outreach on environmental awareness at local schools.

This program is ideal for teens who want to experience authentic, hands-on, and unique volunteering in one of the world's most pristine and dynamic countries. You will travel to the South Pacific islands of Fiji, a stunning country. Enjoy island paradise and rural living with like-minded peers while engaging in diverse projects, from marine conservation at our island base camp to sustainable development projects to a kids' after-school program in local villages. This immersive program offers numerous opportunities to interact with Fijians to understand and appreciate their culture while fostering an appreciation for our teens’ lives. Outside of volunteering, our participants experience amazing adventures like ziplining, snorkeling, kayaking, and hiking in dunes. They also enjoy cultural experiences like pottery and craft workshops, Indo-Fijian cooking lessons, soaking in mud baths, and plenty of beach and ‘island time.’ Your stay in Fiji will be forever memorable and impactful! This program is the first 18 days of our extended Fiji Service & Adventure plus Hawaii 23-day program.

Fiji is a stunning place to spend some time volunteering abroad. Our volunteer projects in Fiji are a world away from the luxurious tourist resorts that form many people’s perceptions of the islands. Our projects are available for anyone interested in volunteering abroad –whether you’re on a gap year, career break, or as summer experience during semester breaks. Our projects in Fiji are located in and around the town of Nadi on the west coast of the island and in Suva on the east coast. Many travelers arrive at Nadi’s international airport before either flying or catching a boat straight to their island paradise. However, it is the poorer areas of Fiji’s larger towns that are most in need of our volunteer’s help.
