Explore your passion and gain real-world skills while shadowing veterinarians, observing animal surgeries, and going behind the scenes at wildlife attractions. Gain firsthand experience of what it’s like to be a professional in the animal care field. Gain exposure to the many sides of animal medicine and the different opportunities available to pursue your passion for animals. Roll up your sleeves at the Zoo & Conservation Center. Learn about animal care, nutrition, husbandry, and wildlife conservation and collect data on their world-famous flamingo colony. Volunteer at a local nonprofit animal clinic to learn about animal welfare initiatives and shadow veterinarians as they perform physical exams and spay and neuter surgeries.
