IGS has placed students in some of the world’s most exciting museums. Our internship placements typically fall into two categories: working on the floor or conducting research and marketing behind the scenes. Floor work includes assisting the docent in the setup and interpretation of current exhibits and galleries. This may include constructing backdrops and computer modeling. Once the exhibit is in place, you are asked to learn the history of the showcased items and share your knowledge with the visiting public. Behind-the-scenes work may include conducting original research on life histories or local historical events. This may include online research and library visits. Likewise, you may be asked to conduct interviews in the community and record knowledge that is in danger of being lost forever. Duties are usually associated with the following: Set up exhibits Conduct online research Interpret for the public Interview local residents Write for the museum’s website Social media outreach

This pre-college program will offer various course study options, including Art History, Fine Arts, Philosophy, and Japanese language and cuisine.

LTL Language School is a perfect fit for students looking to improve their Japanese quickly. Everyone is welcome to our schools, from beginner to advanced students, of all ages and nationalities. Our schools are based ideally in central areas of both Tokyo and Osaka. You can choose to learn in one or both of our schools and get a truly immersive, Japanese experience. Our comprehensive Japanese programs allow students maximum flexibility. You can study at LTL for a week up to a full year. Our group classes are kept small, with no more than six students per class, to ensure you get plenty of attention from the teachers and time to ask questions. However, most groups only include 2 or 3 students to maximize your ability to learn Japanese fast. Tailored 1-on-1 classes are also available, and accommodation with carefully selected Japanese host families is encouraged to maximize each participant's exposure to the language and culture. Day 1 - 4: Tokyo - Gaze at the giant Godzilla, the Sensou-ji Temple and The Imperial Palace. Day 5: Kamakura - Visit the Giant Buddha and enjoy the sunset on the beach.
