This 13-week program combines French language immersion, academics, and firsthand encounters to understand the cultural intricacies of French society. To set the linguistic foundation, students begin the term with a three-week intensive French language course with weekly 90-minute individual support sessions continuing thereafter. Once the group portion of the language class concludes, participants take three courses, each taught in French: - Business French: An Economy of Creation: Discovering the French Savoir-Faire - Art History: Painting, Sculpture in France in the 19th Century - Political Science: France Today Each course includes field trips and site visits such as hands-on workshops for artisan crafts (pastry chef, perfume, fashion), art history outing to Monet's gardens at Giverny, and lessons at Paris' many renowned museums.
