Spend a semester or academic year in the classic city of Florence with AIFS Abroad. Choose from a wide variety of courses at the AIFS Abroad Global Education Center with credit awarded by Fairfield University. Select the Traditional Academic Program to begin or advance your Italian language skills and select courses from a variety of subjects. During the Spring semester, a Fashion Management and Marketing Program is also available. AIFS Abroad in Florence includes a one-week orientation before the semester begins to help you acclimate to life in Italy. Fall semester orientation is on the coast of Tuscany, while spring semester orientation is in Rome. Live in a shared student apartment and receive a meal plan. Enroll in a sailing course at ACT, and earn academic credit and a license or certificate. The Coastal Sailing Skipper (course and license) teaches you how to operate an open-sea sailboat. Upon successful completion of the theoretical and on-board lessons, you will receive academic credit and an international sailing license that allows you to skipper a boat on your own. The Racing Sailing Certificate, on the other hand, offers a more intense and demanding experience. It involves hours of practice as well as an opportunity to join in the local Sailing Championship of Thessaloniki.

One-on-one weekly support sessions with an Arabic instructor accompany the language course to focus on each student's oral and written expression and comprehension. A weekly lesson in Darija (Moroccan dialect of Arabic) bridges the differences between the two tongues. Key site visits and cultural events are included along with homestay housing with full board. Students can prolong their stay in Rabat by two weeks to volunteer with a local NGO.
