Join us for a meaningful volunteer experience at a Nursery and Daycare School. Your role will include assisting teaching staff in preparing and delivering engaging lessons. Please let us know if you have special skills or talents, such as sports coaching, dance, music, or art. We are eager to incorporate your expertise into enriching activities for the children. Our program encourages flexibility and active participation. Outside regular school hours, you may contribute to special community projects, like beach clean-ups or cultural events, often on weekends. Being adaptable, patient, and open-minded is essential, as every day may bring new opportunities to make a difference. The school operates from 7:00 AM to 12:30 PM, Monday through Thursday, and 7:00 AM to 11:30 AM on Fridays, respecting worship day among Muslims. This schedule ensures ample free time to explore the local area, unwind at the beach, join safaris, or socialize with other volunteers. While we encourage maximizing your time at the school for a rewarding experience, we also understand the need for balance. If required, we can accommodate requests for additional time off to help you make the most of your stay.

Zanzibar, located off the coast of Tanzania, is a beautiful group of islands. While it’s not a large archipelago, Zanzibar is surrounded by turquoise waters and breathtaking views. Small, gray dhoni or boats with a partially covered roof are your only ride to any of the region’s islands. Pemba Island is known for its lush, green hills and abundant marine life. The capital, Zanzibar City, features European, Arabic, and Indian influences in various aspects – architecture, culture, and cuisine. The famous “Stone Town” in the old quarter is a World Heritage Site and popular amongst tourists. Have plenty of opportunities to explore Zanzibar by joining our volunteer projects in a range of fields: healthcare, health education, nursing, and women empowerment. You can focus on a specific placement or join more than one to make the most of your time. And in your free time, you can visit pristine beaches, explore different islands, and visit small fishing villages.
