ZIVO is a community-based internship and volunteering organization located in Zanzibar, dedicated to creating meaningful impact through healthcare, education, community development, and cultural exchange programs. Do I need experience to volunteer in Zanzibar?
No. Most volunteer positions do not require previous experience. Motivation, flexibility, and enthusiasm are the most important qualities. For some internships or healthcare-related positions, specific skills or studies may be required.
How long can I volunteer?
You can volunteer for as little as two weeks or stay for six months. We recommend at least three weeks so you have enough time to settle in and make a meaningful contribution.
