Education Volunteering in Sacred Valley, Peru

IT WAS AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE FOR PERSONAL GROWTH, EVERYONE IS VERY WELCOMING, KIND AND HELPFUL. IT WAS WONDERFUL SPENDING TIME WITH THE CHILDREN, HELPING THEM WITH THEIR HOMEWORK, AND PLAYING WITH THEM. I LOVED BEING HERE.

<we had a lot of fun working with the kids at our daycare placement. <also, the care and attention of the <maximo Nivel staff was top notch. <i had a minor illness while abroad and they got me all the treatment <i needed to be back on my feet in a day without missing my excursions.

I had a great time volunteering for this program. I did not know what to expect from Cusco and it was a cool way to throw myself out there and get out of my comfort zone. For people solo travelling alone, this program made it easy and comforting to do. I learned a lot and had lots of hands on experience.

this was definitely one of the more interesting programs. I truly had such an amazing experience here. I think If i were going to recomend this program to someone, I would definitely say to bring a friend. when you are in a place where no one speaks english, it can feel quite isolating. but the people are so friendly and kind it will truly change your life.

I came into this volunteering program with scared feelings of what to expect. However, as time went on, I could not have had a better experience than I did. And If time allowed I would do it all over again a second time.

Volunteering was a once in a lifetime experience. Everyone was so friendly and super supportive. I never once felt unsafe or unsure of what to do. Working with local communities was great and they helped me practice my Spanish as I taught them English. Would recommend this experience to everyone and will for sure be coming back to volunteer through Maximo!

This experience was amazing and a once in a lifetime opportunity. We absolutely loved making connections and interacting with the children. Even the man in charge of Un Mundo Mejor was very welcoming and kind in showing us the ropes and helping us figure out our bus stop. This trip would not have ran so smoothly if it weren't for Maximo Nivel. They made it clear from the beginning that they valued our safety and experience within the program. I felt very safe and secure considering the fact that the employees of Maximo Nivel worked hard to ensure that we were provided with good food recommendations as well as information about where to get access to clean water and how to stay away from potential dangers. I am very grateful that we had a family at Maximo Nivel to come to in case we felt unsafe or had any questions or concerns. Overall, I really value my experience within the program and I am glad that I participated!

I had a wonderful time volunteering in Cusco! I worked in an after school program to support kids in need. I was able to provide emotional support, assist with homeowrk, and help with their English. Can not wait for my next opportunity!

Monica's: Excellent host! Sweetest woman, genuinely cared for our well being, our time in Cusco. Food tasted great. Niko: Great projects manager! Nico made our trip to Peru a lot better with his recommendations and overall help adjusting. He made ahrd days @ the clinic feel light, helped bridge the language barrier - even though we didn't need it.

Monica was amazing! She was super welcoming, made good food, and even gave us salsa lessons. Making the experience more enjoyable: More instruction on the first day of clinic. Nico & Maximo Nivel were perfect - they were super helpful with all questions & needs we had. They were especially helpful when our coordinator didn’t know anything or communicate fully. Highly Recommend to others!

I absolutely loved this experience and all of the Maximo staff was so supportive and did a good job of fostering growth in our Spanish & medical skills throughout the week. Monica was a joy to stay with! I will say that the portions were not what we were used to, but I would recommend that you notify participants of what portions will be like so they can bring extra snacks if they want. Nico rocks and we love him! Thanks to everyone!! :)

Thank you so much for organising such a wonderful campaign. This trip felt very organised and any questions we had or help we needed were always answered / given. The only thing that I would have liked with the program is more information on the campaign and lodging details before arrival. Michael and Gina were amazing to work with and were a huge part of why the campaign was so great! They were both extremely kind and helpful and Michael gave amazing recommendations for where to go in Cusco after the campaign.

I spent a week teaching English in the middle of the Andes with Maximo Nivel. I taught at a small local school called Un Mundo Mejor in a small neighborhood on the outskirts of Cusco. It was such an amazing experience. Between the kids coming to class and the help from Maximo I always felt looked after and ready. 10/10

I taught English in the outskirts of Cusco in a small rural community called Puerto Rico. I taught at a school Called Un Mundo Mejor. It was an amazing experience! I got to work with a small class of about 8 students and we learned a lot. Maximo Nivel was with me the entire journey and helped me with everything I needed. 5 Stars all around!

Maximo Nivel is amazing - Lucas and Gabby went above and beyond not only to help smooth out some bumps, but to make us feel happy and comfortable and taken care of in a way that I have never experienced with any other program!

These past 2 and a half months have been absolutely incredible! I'm deeply grateful to everyone who made this experience so magical. Everything about my placement was perfect! The guidance I received, Maximo's constant support in preparing or printing the lessons , and the wonderful local people I got to meet.

Victor was the kindest most caring host dad and I couldn't imagine being with anyone else. My placement was beyond amazing and I am sad to leave. Maximo was beyond helpful with everything I needed and any questions I had.

The staff of Maximo Nivel, my homestay, and American Inca Trail were wonderful. I felt safe and guided the whole time. The cooking class and salsa classes were nice additions that I took advantage of. Don't hesitate to ask questions and seek assistance when needed. Thanks!

Michael absolutely rocks! So do Dina and Dr. Estrella. I loved this campaign dearly. The patients were so kind and generous, offering us food, love, and comfort despite having little of their own. Monica was also so kind, loving, and understanding. Gracias Maximo Nivel!!
