Spend your summer in the sunny, international resort city of Cannes, France, with AIFS Abroad! Earn up to 13 credits at the Campus International de Cannes. Courses are taught in English and French. Learn or perfect your French language skills with no previous French language study required. Live on campus in a student residence hall overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. You will share a double or triple room, with single rooms available for an additional fee. If you want to immerse yourself in the French language and culture, a homestay is also an option for housing. Homestay students receive breakfast daily and lunch Monday through Sunday on campus. SAI invites students to explore French studies in the heart of Paris! SAI students take part in summer or semester programs at the Cours de Civilisation Française de La Sorbonne (CCFS). Enjoy a rich French immersion experience, based on techniques developed by CCFS over more than a century of language instruction. Courses include classroom work, as well as work in the phonetics lab to help students improve grammar, pronunciation, and vocabulary. Emphasis is also placed on improving verbal expression and perfecting everyday usage through interaction with instructors and classmates. In addition to supporting students throughout their stay in Paris, SAI’s on-site staff also coordinates a range of activities and excursions throughout the term, including a weekend trip to the South of France (semester only), a visit to “l’Institut du Monde Arabe Museum”, a walking tour of Paris, a day trip to Deauville, and much more.

Visit three prominent Francophone host cities in one semester—Paris, France; Rabat, Morocco; and Dakar, Senegal—for an interdisciplinary and reflective approach to study abroad. Discuss and analyze poignant topics in various fields while learning from each host city's perspective. All students take one common course, Introduction to France, Morocco, Senegal: Three Worlds, One Language, and choose the remaining three courses from the available course selection in literature, history, political science, gender studies, art history, economics, and more. All courses are taught in French by local professors highly regarded in their respective fields of study. Individual language support is organized each week. Take advantage of each host city's culture by participating in various thoughtfully planned cultural activities and excursions included in the program. In Nice, you will live in a modern student apartment, in the beautiful Old Port neighborhood, in the very heart of town. Every student chooses two classes as their academic focus: a major and an elective. The French major class meets every morning Monday to Friday while electives meet three afternoons a week. Electives include French Conversation, Photography, Sports, and Studio Art. Abbey Road provides three meals a day of high-quality food through a variety of venues. We often cook together using traditional French recipes. On some nights we go out for group dinners. In any case, our students eat authentic, quality food, as opposed to fast food or tourist meals. GCAC offers a 10-day learning adventure in London, Paris, and Lucerne. Bring your good walking shoes because we will tour London to see the Tower of London, Westminster Abbey, and Buckingham Palace. Then, we'll enjoy an evening of theater performance before going to Paris to take in the Louvre Museum, the Eiffel Tower, and the Palace of Versailles. A train will take us to Lucerne, where we’ll be entertained with a show focusing on Swiss folklore, tour Lucerne’s Old Town and Civil Defense Facility, and then take a day trip to visit the picturesque alpine village of Grindelwald and see the mountains and lakes surrounding Interlaken.
