Wonderful Experience
July 23, 2026by: Nyel Harris - United StatesI had a wonderful experience abroad. Roehampton University is located right outside the city of London, allowing students to experience slower everyday life while providing the fun city life of London. Beyond this, the town of Putney and Wimbledon are located very close to Roehampton, at a 45 minute walk or a 5 minute bus ride. After classes, I was able to choose between exploring local areas and the city of London. London has so much to offer, from food, culture, and more. While abroad, I was able to get cheap flights to other places such as Spain, and take a train ride to Scottland.
Best. Decision. Ever.
June 19, 2026by: Katharine Gutkoski - United StatesI decided to study abroad with AIFS and it truly was the best decision of my life. The AIFS Abroad team was so incredibly helpful--jumping onto phone calls to answer every one of my many questions. I had never lived abroad before but AIFS walked me through each step. My university required that I book my flights through AIFS' travel package, which I found to be so incredibly helpful. I did not have to worry about how I was getting to the airport or what flight to get. AIFS did it for me. From making sure I knew how to use the Tube to immersing me in the culture from the first moment I got off the plane, AIFS Abroad welcomed me with open arms. I loved going to class in a different part of the city as well. Kensington is GORGEOUS and getting to experience the life of a Londoner who travels back and forth from home is an experience I'll never forget. From traveling to Europe to visiting so many museums, from seeing theatre productions to meeting new people, London opened my world up. AIFS Abroad encouraged me to try new things and to spend as much time as I could out and about in the culture of England--while also making sure I got my schoolwork done! I even met my partner while there. I kept a digital journal through Instagram of my travels called "Lost In London"(@katharinegutkoski & @ontherecord._). I truly cannot thank AIFS Abroad for everything. Going to England changed my life and I would choose AIFS Abroad again and again and again.

A great time
March 31, 2026by: Willow Rooney - United StatesProgram: USAC England: London - Undergraduate and Graduate Courses
I was on London for the two three-week sessions. The classes were excellent and I really enjoyed my class about Shakespeare. We traveled to the Globe theatre to see multiple productions, then had wonderful conversations. Through USAC, there were opportunities to travel outside of London and spend time in lesser known attractions, which let me explore more than just the city. Overall, it balanced both independence to see the city and do whatever you wanted while also letting you have more structure and planned trips.
Amazing experience!
March 24, 2026by: June Vargas - United StatesProgram: USAC England: London - Undergraduate and Graduate Courses
I had a great time studying abroad in London for a semester. I was able to experience student life and make friends with people in my classes. I got to immerse myself culturally while still making time for my studies. I got to visit a lot of museums through the program as well.
The most amazing experience of my life!
March 17, 2026by: Dani Cirillo - United StatesIf I could use one word to describe AIFS England it would be spectacular. I am so grateful that I got the opportunity to spend a semester in my dream city. I think about the relationships I made with friends, professors, and staff every day and wish I could live it all over again. I wouldn’t change my experience for anything and think about it all the time! Go study abroad, it will change your life just like it did mine.

Best Experience Ever
March 01, 2026by: Raysa Romero Olivas - United StatesStudying abroad with USAC made my experience in London a breeze. USAC offered a program that was ideal for me as it was during the summer for 3 weeks rather than a semester. Three weeks was the perfect length to explore London while offering enough time to study and focus on my class. USAC prepared me well for my time abroad and offered me the support I needed. USAC allowed me to connect with other students before depature making it easier to know everyone in the program before departing. Overall, the experience with USAC was fantastic and straightforward.
My London Adventures
March 01, 2026by: Quinn Davidson - United StatesProgram: USAC England: London - Undergraduate and Graduate Courses
During June 2025 I studied Managing Project and Events in London at University of Roehampton. I had an absolutely incredible time immersing myself in the London lifestyle, meeting other students from London, exploring famous monuments, and even going outside of London to some other English towns with other USAC students. I am interested in Project Management after undergraduate studies and this course that I took in London helped me immensely in understanding the resources and tools used in Project Management. I also went to some well-known sports facilities and the Shard for some class trips. The faculty and staff at the University of Roehampton made it very easy to navigate around campus and made us feel as if London was a second home. On the weekends I went with some of the other USAC students to other English towns including Brighton, Bath & Stone Henge, and Margate. We all had a wonderful time exploring those towns together as these were new sights for many of us. I am so grateful and happy that I had the opportunity to study abroad in London as it showed me that there are so many opportunities out in the world for people to take a part in and grow.

Best Time Ever
February 07, 2026by: Madalyn Rozell - United StatesTruly I could not tell you what I would have changed about my experience with AIFS. The travel package was so nice, I can book a plane ticket easy peasy, but I was concerned about landing and trying to figure out the tube. They made it so I didn't have to worry about a thing. The accommodations were so nice, and well located. The first day they showed us the route to get from our accommodations to our classroom which I really appreciated. The staff were all so kind, helpful, and accommodating. The experiences they booked for us were so fun and a good balance of catered experiences and free time for you (and friends) to explore London on your own. The professor was amazing! He was incredibly knowledgeable and kind. I truly would not change a thing about my experience and I cannot recommend it enough! For this particular program, they took us to West End musicals, Oxford, Top Secret Comedy Club and out to a few dinners! During class we would walk around London to immerse ourselves in the city, we explored Kensington, the East End, Bond Street, Westminster, Big Ben, the Churchill War Rooms and more!

November 22, 2025by: Louis Berge - SwitzerlandI had such a great time at Lite Regal Education Summer School 2025 The Intensive English course really helped my English improve a lot in such a short time. I also met so many new friends from different countries everyone was super kind and friendly.

Even if it doesn't pan out exactly how you imagined, you'll be glad you tried it.
November 06, 2025by: Makayla Ross - United StatesProgram: IES Abroad London Summer – UK Today
Upon receiving my acceptance to the IES Abroad program, I imagined what a summer living in London would present. I'd secretly hope to meet a London boy (cue the Taylor Swift song), make lifelong friendships, and cross off my London bucket list. Only 1/3 was accomplished. During my time, I experienced loneliness, homesickness, and a bit of regret. My summer didn't pan out exactly how I imagined it. However, for the days that felt endless, there were plenty more that I wish didn't have to end. I am grateful for the experience I embarked on. Although it was scary, I did it, and made it out with cute pics as evidence.

A Life-Changing Semester in London 🇬🇧✨
September 16, 2025by: Meredith Schmoyer - United StatesProgram: USAC England: London - Undergraduate and Graduate Courses
Studying abroad in London with USAC was an incredible experience! The program made it easy to adjust, and the staff was always supportive and welcoming. I loved exploring the city, meeting new friends, and learning in such a vibrant environment. It was truly a life-changing opportunity that I’ll always be grateful for!

My Experience Studying Abroad in London
September 05, 2025by: Avery Condon - United StatesInitially I was hesitant to study abroad due to never being to another country before. However, a few of my peers recommended Arcadia to me due to their semester-long program in London. Thus, I decided to take a chance and apply. Several months later, I was landing in Heathrow Airport and being greeted by Arcadia staff. From the onboarding process to the departure process, Arcadia was there for me every step of the way. Their staff does everything they can to make your experience as enjoyable as possible. I personally cannot recommend Arcadia enough after experiencing their program in London. However, they are not just limited to London. They offer study abroad programs in many other countries too.
London during January Mini-mester
September 03, 2025by: Gracie Torres - United StatesProgram: January in London (UK)
I had an amazing expierence during my time in London! I cannot reccomend this program enough, if you are on the fence about it, JUST DO IT! I was only there for a short period of time but I feel like it was enough time to make frienships and see all the sights I wanted to see. Personally, any longer and i might have gotten homesick. Support staff at the university and through the program are great and will answer any questions you have! I will say the program could do a little better in facilitating communication between international students, so don’t be afraid to start group chats and ask people on your level to meet up. The accomadations were not as described in their initial description, its more like a hotel so better in my opinion. The campus is not in London its more out of the city but it wasn't hard or took a lot of time to get into the heart of London. I took history of London as a course and really enjoyed the expertise of the different tutors and every week we had 2-3 field trips where we would go to different places in London, that I don’t think I would have seen on my own. Overall, it was really great and I still talk to a lot of people that were in my program term. Advice I would give future students is take every medicine you can think of that you might need (tums, advil, tylonel, allieve, etc) because finding medicine was hard. I would also say food is expensive and not very good so do your reserach beforehand to make sure its something actually good (search tiktok best fish and chips or ask a local).

The peak of my life
September 01, 2025by: Ashton Despain - United StatesProgram: USAC England: London - Undergraduate and Graduate Courses
My study abroad experience was nothing short of amazing. I loved my walks through the Hampstead Heath, taking the tube, indulging in British cuisine and visiting the year round markets like Camden and bourough market. I highly recommend it to everyone! It was the best choice I’ve ever made! It is now a goal of mine to live in London!
Life-Changing Experience
August 22, 2025by: Ella Ortiz Ruiz - United StatesProgram: USAC England: London - Undergraduate and Graduate Courses
This was truly one of the best experiences of my life! Studying abroad was such an amazing opportunity I will never forget. I made some of the best memories and had incredible experiences every single day. The USAC program and Dara my program director were so helpful with every step and all my questions along the way, I felt super supported. While living in London for ninth months, I was able to work as a bartender, travel to 13 other countries and study film hands-on making several short films. It was so perfect, I would recommend to anyone! I would love to do a study-abroad graduate program now.

London has a special place in my heart!
August 22, 2025by: Jamai Vann - United StatesLondon will always have a special place in my heart! London has always been on the list of places I wanted to travel to outside of the US, and I am beyond grateful that I was able to travel there with Arcadia Abroad. Arcadia Abroad emphasizes hands-on, interactive learning and encourages its students to step outside their comfort zones and venture into the unknown. The care, compassion, and attentiveness expressed by professors at the London Learning Center encouraged me to utilize my voice inside the classroom and gave me the courage to contribute to class discussions. Being housed in the Princess Elizabeth House allowed me to meet new students who attend Arcadia, and other students from various universities studying alongside Arcadia. I was able to participate in university excursions while abroad, and had the privilege of traveling throughout Europe with friends! My experience with Arcadia in London is one I won't forget, and I plan to study abroad again in the future.
Amazing experience with AIFS!
August 20, 2025by: AyaI chose AIFS Abroad because I wanted a program that combined strong academic support with cultural experiences. I joined the London program, and it exceeded my expectations in every way. The pre-departure team guided me through each step, answering questions quickly and making me feel prepared before leaving. In London, the staff were welcoming and approachable, always checking in to make sure we were doing well. The housing was safe and well-located, which made daily life so much easier. I especially loved the excursions and cultural activities—they helped me explore London and other parts of the UK in ways I wouldn’t have managed on my own. What stood out most was the community I built. I met people who became close friends, and the experience gave me more independence and confidence. Professionally, I gained skills in adaptability and communication that I know will help me in the future. I’d recommend AIFS Abroad to anyone looking for a program that balances academics, culture, and support in a truly meaningful way.
a change in perspective in London
August 01, 2025by: Kendrah Mpare - United StatesProgram: IES Abroad - Study Abroad in England
Before my study abroad journey, I was filled with excitement, mostly about the idea of being in a new country and soaking in a different culture. I had high hopes, but honestly, both London and the IES Abroad program exceeded every expectation I had. Of course, I got to experience all the iconic London attractions you dream about: the London Eye, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace—every postcard landmark was just as magical in real life. But what really surprised me was how much more there was beyond the tourist side. One of the most unforgettable experiences was a trip organised by IES to the Jurassic Coast, a UNESCO World Heritage site. It’s not a place I would’ve ever put on my personal travel itinerary, but it ended up being one of the highlights of my entire time abroad. That trip showed me a completely different side of the UK, natural, historical, and deeply beautiful. While most people think of study abroad as all about travel and adventure (which it definitely is), I have to highlight how incredible the academic side was, too. The classes were intellectually engaging, and the professors brought a whole new perspective to learning. What I loved most was how they incorporated the city and our experiences into the classroom. We went to art galleries, had community volunteering placements, and brought real-life news to discuss in class that made learning feel holistic and alive. If I had the chance, I would absolutely do it all over again.
An unforgettable experience!
June 30, 2025by: Hayley Nelson - United StatesProgram: USAC England: London - Undergraduate and Graduate Courses
My time in London taught me so much about life and I’ll never forget it! Being on my own in another country felt like the first time I was truly self sufficient in my life and I had to make it work for me. I loved every lesson I learned and every friend I made. The experiences I had were life changing, and I can’t wait until I get the chance to go back to London!
I’ll never forget it!
June 01, 2025by: Hayley Nelson - United StatesMy time in London completely changed my life. I felt like I was truly free and on my own for the first time, and I was able to make my own decisions about what I did and where I went. My friends I made were amazing and I was able to get super immersed into the community. My class work was interesting, but left time for me to explore the city after class. I wish I could go back!
