The highlight of the program is our residence: a modern, comfortable and secure apartment complex, within the city. It has a gym, rooftop pool, AC, wifi, and many common areas for students to socialize. Abbey Road provides three meals a day of high-quality food through a variety of venues. We cook together one or two nights per week, with the help of our staff (this is excellent preparation for college years). On some nights we go out for group dinners at trendy local restaurants in the El Born neighborhood. Some nights we have takeout food. In any case, our students eat authentic, quality food, as opposed to fast food or tourist meals. Our teaching method emphasizes active, hands-on learning, cultural and language immersion. Most of our Spanish classes include interacting with locals, practicing Spanish, and small group Spanish conversation workshops. We go to many cultural and athletic events in Barcelona and its vicinity, as well as day trips to Figueres, Girona, Sitges, and more.

The Global Design Junior program helps you learn about the various areas of design, including interior and fashion. It allows you to discover and activate your potential by exploring the creative processes connected to these disciplines. This is an immersive course, wherein you explore the resources and tools of different design disciplines. You will look into the languages and techniques involving sculpture, visual art, music, and theater (and more) from a global perspective. You will put your experience into practice during exercises. On the last day, your group will create a piece that combines knowledge and tools in design and art. The Global Design Summer Course is for young students between 15 and 18 years old who are interested in the various design disciplines and want to broaden their academic education. This is also for young people who are struggling academically and want to know how to enjoy learning. The lessons are delivered in English. This program starts each June.
