Gap Year Programs in Curieuse Island,Seychelles

Investigate sea turtles, whale sharks, coral reefs, and other species of marine wildlife in this volunteer program that is almost entirely underwater in Seychelles! Participants will study marine populations in order to contribute to conservation projects, documenting and collecting data on fish, coral, and other animals. This project will supply information to the local government and involves working towards environmental health and sustainability. Volunteers on this program will gain an understanding of identification tactics used to classify the tropical coral and fish they will encounter. Participants take the courses for PADI Advanced and PADI Coral Reef Research Diver and can also be involved in other courses on diving if they wish. Participants will obtain a detailed understanding of surveying a marine environment. They will focus on researching fish or coral.
