API offers five wonderful locations in Italy to learn about and absorb the Italian culture and way of life. All programs are for undergraduate students. Classes are comprised of other foreign and American students. Semester, summer, and year terms are available for all programs, and a January intersession programs are available in Florence and Taormina.

Our academic calendar follows a semester system, including January and Summer sessions to accommodate the schedule of students from the US. Unlike many other study abroad programs, Athena offers its students programs that are focused on intense, cultural immersion which puts them in touch with the locals of their host country, elements of the host culture, and other international students from around the world to ensure a well-rounded, diverse experience.

Be captivated by the Italian culture in the historic city of Florence with Fairfield University. Students choose from different programs ranging from Anthropology to Sociology, Film to Communications. Participants earn 15 college credits and can opt to enroll in an Italian Language course where they earn an additional three college credits.

Live and breathe history in New York University's Florence program, which focuses heavily on humanities. Art history, cinematography, and literature are just some of the available courses, taught in both English and Italian.

Students in the process of completing their Bachelors degree can participate in Italian study abroad programs with the American Institute for Foreign Studies (AIFS). Programs are offered in Venice, Rome, and Florence, and are available during all terms of study. Students can study Fashion, History, Italian, and many more subjects with AIFS.

The main purpose of ILE is to facilitate the professional integration of young students and adults from around the world with experience abroad and extend academic learning through the completion of specialized courses in Music, Theater, Dance and Fashion in different European countries.

From Irish Dance to Italian Opera, we offer a broad range of programs that are centered in performance. Deepen your understanding of your craft by being immersed in a new culture and learn specific techniques that will make you more well-rounded as a performer and stand out at auditions.

Study Economics or Fashion and Design courses in Italy this Fall or Spring semester and learn how to read and speak Italian with Accademia Europea di Firenze. Each course you choose consists of 45 contact hours, translating to 16 university credits for every four courses you take with your Italian language class.

Spend your first year of college in Italy with Florida State University International Programs. This program gives incoming freshmen the opportunity to complete the first twelve months of university in Florence, the cultural seat of Tuscany. All courses are taught in English. The program is available only to American participants.
