Classical Civilization Study Abroad in Florence, Italy

API offers five wonderful locations in Italy to learn about and absorb the Italian culture and way of life. All programs are for undergraduate students. Classes are comprised of other foreign and American students. Semester, summer, and year terms are available for all programs, and a January intersession programs are available in Florence and Taormina.

This semester program is provided in locations throughout Italy. Developed by The Aegean Center for the Fine Arts, students enjoy studio arts including painting, drawing, and also creative writing within a small group of students. This program is fully-accredited and offers scholarships, grants, and other awards. In order to qualify, advanced students must submit a portfolio.

Over the course of one semester, you will travel with your classmates and professors to the remarkable cities of Venice, Florence and Rome that have shaped world history and culture. Study in Italy with Global Learning Semesters!

Unlike many other study abroad programs, Athena offers its students programs that are focused on intense, cultural immersion which puts them in touch with the locals of their host country, elements of the host culture, and other international students from around the world to ensure a well-rounded, diverse experience.
