Buenos Aires is the capital of Argentina and is located on the shore of the Río de la Plata. It is one of Latin America's most important ports and populous cities. This grand city with wide avenues and a vibrant cosmopolitan flair is seen as more European than Latin American. Its energy and bustle are most evident in the city's center, an epicenter of entertainment, shopping, and café culture. It is built on the original colonial foundations of the Spanish people. This center serves as the location for many and most financial institutions and corporate headquarters. New for Spring 2024: Come study in Argentina's vibrant and exciting capital city, Buenos Aires! Students will enroll in coursework at Universidad de Belgrano, with a concentration on Spanish language and Latin American studies. This program is especially good for Spanish minors and majors, as most courses offered are the building blocks of those degrees. Enjoy excursions to Tigre, La Plata, and Estancia!

Do impactful work and gain career-advancing skills. Learn from thoughtful mentors who care. Connect with a new culture. Build a global network. Our in-person and remote internship programs are carefully planned and thoughtfully implemented. We are with you every step of the way to ensure that your professional experience is meaningful and that you are culturally immersed in Argentina and Uruguay. The Puentes program provides a comprehensive professional and cultural immersion experience in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Montevideo, Uruguay, or remotely. The internship is eight weeks, with in-person participants arriving on the Thursday prior to the internship start date and departing on the Saturday after the internship concludes. In today’s hybrid work culture, some internships may be conducted entirely in person, while others may offer a combination of in-person and virtual work. From Puentes, we set the expectation that an in-person internship will have at least 2 to 3 days per week of work take place in person at the company’s office and/or at a co-working space where the company meets.
