Colobus Monkey Conservation in Diani, Kenya

This is an extraordinary opportunity to make a meaningful difference in preserving one of Africa’s most captivating primate species. Nestled along the stunning coastline of Diani, our project focuses on safeguarding the threatened colobus monkey population and their fragile forest habitat. Volunteers immerse themselves in the lush surroundings of Diani’s forests, working alongside dedicated conservationists to monitor colobus populations, conduct habitat assessments, and implement community-based initiatives. Through this project, you don't just contribute to the protection of these enchanting creatures but also engage with local communities to raise awareness and promote coexistence. Join us in this vital conservation effort and become a steward of Diani’s natural heritage, leaving a lasting impact on the future of colobus monkeys and their forest home.

Environmental Conservation Adventure in Kenya

Our environmental conservation projects need volunteers to contribute to the rehabilitation, protection, and conservation of the only remaining rainforest and ancient forest in Kenya. We invite individuals and groups from all levels – students, interns, and nature lovers. This forest faces major threats from human encroachment and destruction. Protecting it helps conserve our ecosystem, water catchments, and wildlife while attracting more rainfall. Join this program and benefit Africa's environment, humans, and animals. Kenya prides itself on winning a Nobel Peace Prize for environmental efforts by the Late Professor Wangarĩ Maathai. The work involves conducting environmental education, preparing tree nurseries, planting seedlings, distributing seedlings to the village, maintaining botanical villages, conserving wetland and marine ecosystems, conducting scientific research, and creating documentary journals on ecosystems and eco-friendly technological approaches, among many others.

Great experience volunteering in HuaHin

I had a great time in Thailand volunteering through IVHQ. Their pre departure checklists and videos were really helpful, and gave me confidence. The handover to the local team was seamless, with pickups and transport working really well. During the placement, the accommodation was great, with a good range of extra activities to get involved in during our downtime. In my third week, I transferred to a private room, as my boyfriend joined, and this again was seamless, with local pickups and drop offs only a whatsapp away. And the placement itself was sooo rewarding! I did construction and renovation which was sometimes tough in the heat, but well worth it to see the gratitude on the faces of the pupils and teachers at the kindergarten.
