During my time there, I had the incredible opportunity to teach English to young learners, which allowed me to develop effective classroom management and engaging teaching methods. Holding a Bachelor's degree along with certifications/diplomas in English, Chinese, and Russian gave me a unique multilingual edge. Being able to communicate with local students and adapt to different cultural backgrounds made my teaching experience remarkably smooth and impactful. This experience helped me grow both professionally and personally. I highly recommend teaching abroad to anyone looking to expand their horizon, master new languages, and gain valuable international education experience.

I was skeptical to try this course as I saw some that were slightly cheaper. This course is 100% worth spending a little extra money! The support from my instructor Sean during and after I completed the course has been invaluable. I received my certificate one week ago and I am already interviewing at ESL schools thanks to his helo during the course and afterwards. Recommend to anyone who is considering an online TEFL course!

Completing the 30-Hour TEFL Course to Become an Online English Teacher with Premier TEFL has been one of the best professional decisions I have made. The course was practical, engaging, and gave me valuable insight into teaching English effectively in an online environment. I especially appreciated the guidance from Tara Bourke, whose knowledge and practical approach made the course both informative and enjoyable. The training provided useful strategies for lesson planning, engaging students virtually, adapting lessons to different learning styles, and creating a positive online learning experience. the online tefl course was an intense and informative course showing you what to do giving tasks and constantly keeping you engaged and checking if you understand i am so happy to have gotten my tefl certificate with them

I really enjoyed my course with Máximo Nivel! I feel that the course prepared me well and gave me the necessary experience and support to become a successful teacher. It was intensive, however, very flexible, which allowed me to do this course while working full-time. I found the practical teaching part of the course particularly beneficial, as I received feedback after each of the five lessons and was able to reflect on the feedback to better teach my next lesson. My instructor, Sean, was very responsive and gave helpful advice throughout the course. Now that I have finished my course, Sean has also been very helpful and has given me lots of career advice and suggestions for jobs. I highly recommend Máximo Nivel for the online TEFL certification!!

I had the privilege of having Sean Barter as my TEFL instructor during my online Maximo Nivel certification course, and I could not have asked for a more supportive or knowledgeable teacher. From the very first chapter through all 15 course modules and into the daily practicum sessions, Sean was there every step of the way - patient, encouraging, and invested in my progress. The course and the ongoing support were fantastic. They did an excellent job preparing you. The classroom instruction was fantastic and they had an impressive amount of live classroom teaching time. It felt overwhelming occasionally, but in a good way. By Thursday of the first week you were in front of actual students and you taught 9 lessons by the end of the course. If you are serious about wanting to teach English abroad this course gives you all the tools to be successful.

I visited Prague for the first time in 2019 and by my third day here, I knew that I was going to live here. After four years of planning, speaking with friends, and testing out ideas regarding how practical the move might be, nothing was really happening. Then a friend mentioned that his niece had just spent a year in Prague and said that he would have her email me. Melanie did, and in her email was an invite to a Zoom meeting with folks from The Language House. I had just retired after 23 years of substitute teaching in middle and high schools for LAUSD and had no intention of teaching again. However, that 30-minute Zoom call opened the door for me to follow a dream. I learned that The Language House would not only qualify me for a TEFL certificate, but would help me with my visa to live here (thank you, Jitka) and show me how to find a place to live. Beyond that (as if that’s not enough), TLH alumni have become my family. Our October 2023 class has already enjoyed one reunion last year and now we’re planning another! And TLH grads are invited to the graduation party for each session - that’s about once a month - so I’ve become a member of an even greater community - TLH is a school that becomes a family. In less than two years, I managed to get work teaching in businesses (companies here sometimes hire English teachers to give their employees free English lessons, thus “added value” for the employee and the company). I’ve developed my own free-lance collection of private, one-on-one students in person and online (mostly through word-of-mouth, as Chris mentioned is usually the way it happens). It is a delight to forge new relationships with my adult students, relationships that are both meaningful and enjoyable. I started a wonderful, fulfilling life all over again here in Europe at 76 years old. I’m so thankful to The Language House for making that possible, for making yet another life’s dream come true.

I completed my TEFL certificate with The Language House way back when in 2016. The support and community provided was fantastic and I’ve applied the skills I learnt in the course across many different industries and occupations. 100% recommend, it was a life changing experience for me and I still have friends all across the world from my course.

I took this program just expecting to get a certificate and then be on my own however as an alumni member I still went to graduations and networked it was a fantastic experience I wouldn’t trade for anything. I quickly found work once the course was over some even managed to get employed before they graduated. Great program

It was the best possible choice for me. The Language House turned to be wonderful institution with excellent teachers and extremely supportive owner Chris.I learned quite a lot in term of teaching, because this has never been my primary profession. The entire staff was incredibly supportive and helpful in any sphere of our life in Prague Thank you all- Chris, Andrea, Stacy, Jitka, Denise, and everyone I did not mention- you all were really great

I did the language house back in 2016. I didn’t know anyone in Czech Republic and had no previous teaching experience. The school made the transition process for living abroad easier. With a large community and intensive training, they set me up for success. The classes were intense, but I loved the hands of training and the continued support after the course was finished. Doing this course was one of the best decisions I ever made.

I enjoyed my time and would recommend the program to anyone who wants to seriously teach abroad. Please don't join the program if you haven't realistically considered the difficulties it comes with teaching in a foreign country.

The Language House was the best decision I have ever made. They guided me every step of the way and the support given to me in every aspect of my move to Prague was more than appreciated. They are unmatched in equipping students with the knowledge to effectively teach English as a foreign language as well as providing support through the entire journey. Chris and the staff are more than wonderful and I would recommend TLH to anyone and everyone .

The Language House in Prague gave me a truly hands-on, real-world experience that prepared me to start my next chapter living abroad. Even after teaching in the U.S. for over 12 years, I gained brand-new, practical skills to confidently shift into teaching English at both the corporate and elementary levels. Beyond the training, it provided a welcoming community of friends and support, which made building my new life here so much easier.

This school changed my life, plain and simple. Sympathetic staff, fair prices, and lifelong support. Wouldn't recommend any other TEFL school in Prague or elsewhere. They are very hands on, they care about what they do, and they make a difference in every student's life.
