Teaching English Online Specialty TEFL Course

The teacher was very responsive and available. Her feedback on course work has been encouraging and helpful. Her live lecture was extremely useful. The course is very useful but definitely should be longer to allow more time to practice engaging with key concepts and elements. It felt kind of rushed.

The content provided in this course was very interesting and informative. I enjoyed the reading very much. I will be purchasing the text for future referencing. Professor Nicole V. seems very knowledgeable about teaching English online. I throughly enjoyed taking this course with her! Her comments on my assignments were constructive and helpful. I will definitely be a better online English teacher because of her insight.

The content was just challenging enough that I found myself watching extra YouTube videos and reading the sample lessons over and over! Each time I did that, I found another helpful aspect that really brought together my assignments.

The course content was thorough and I feel like I will definitely use the information going forward in my journey to teaching online. I also really enjoyed (though I couldn't attend all of it) the live lecture that the instructor gave. Also a big thank you to the instructor for recording the lecture and sharing it. Great resources for how to take advantage of AI to help with lesson planning and creating class material.

I found this course to be quite helpful in getting me started with my online teaching. Before joining this course, I was confused as to how to start. Now I have a clearer plan and a more specific niche of students to target.

I thought this course was very effective and well worth the money I spent. I felt that the instructor utilized the forums very well. She provided links and other information based on what she thought we would like and from reading what the students wrote. She provided feedback in the peer-to-peer discussions as well.

I really enjoyed that we were asked to do an intro video. I appreciate the instructor's detailed feedback and encouragement, especially when it comes to submitting videos (which can be a daunting task for beginners). Thank you!!

I am 100% satisfied with this course. It is full of so much helpful information and resources. The only thing I could add is that I am not that familiar with online teaching for ESL, so it takes awhile to feel confident in my understanding of the concepts.

I am really impressed with this course and especially Emily, the instructor. You have to be real to make a better world, and she certainly is that. This course introduces a lot of software technology useful in numerous online careers and businesses.

I found the content very helpful, as it opened my eyes to many of the aspects of teaching online that I was not aware of. It was different from the main TEFL course in that it was more informational than instructional, but I still found it very useful. The class went by very quickly but I felt the instructor did the best she could to provide us with as much valuable information and resources as possible within such a short time.

I had done a lot of research prior to taking this course, which chapter one seemed to not be much learned because of that, but chapter 2 went more into details and was quite an interesting read. The course content was very relevant and informative for Teaching English online. My course instructor was very knowledgeable in providing timely feedback for works submitted. The discussions were informative and meaningful. I did purchase a digital copy of the textbook. The digital textbook was identical to the text online in the course, however, I wanted a copy to keep for future reference.

Jessica was great and understanding of my situation when it came to the first assignment! It was very interesting learning the more detailed side of online instruction. I have been in touch with Student Affairs about lining up jobs opportunities online and abroad - they have been very helpful so far.

Courtney - the teacher - has been great. She's been very thorough in her email communication, and the tutorials she gave were packed full of a lot of hands on, very practical tips. Course content was great and presented very well. The two chapters are massive, but I am very interested in the subject matter. I was able to read each chapter comfortably in the time provided and the information was very useful.

After this course, I feel better prepared to begin my job search for an online teaching position. The instructor was excellent and made herself available throughout the course. She provided good feedback, which made the assignments more valuable in my opnion.
