At NYU Tel Aviv, students study the interconnections between the cultures, politics, and religions of the Middle East. There is a special academic focus on Tel Aviv’s vibrant technological entrepreneurial ecosystem as well as advanced science course offerings to help STEM students stay on track with their majors. NYU Tel Aviv’s academic center is located near HaYarkon Park in a residential neighborhood close to the beach. It contains classrooms, a computer lab, a student lounge, and a library. The American University of Beirut has long been admired for the strength and breadth of its academic programs and its commitment to a broad-based liberal arts education. Students may take a blended, Modern Standard Arabic plus Colloquial Arabic course, or just Colloquial Jordanian Arabic. Amman, founded in 7000 B.C., the capital and largest city in Jordan, is situated in a rolling area of northwest Jordan, just twenty-five miles from the Dead Sea. Seven surrounding hills, known as "jabals," helped shape the city. It is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world, having been home to various civilizations over the years – the Ammonites, Assyrians, Persians, Greeks, Nabateans, Romans, Byzantines, and Umayyad Arabs. Today, Amman is a prospering modern metropolis filled with ancient ruins, art galleries, and museums. It serves as a hub for commerce and trade in the Middle East. It is a multicultural and multi-denominational city with a tradition of welcoming refugees and immigrants from nearby countries. The program is based at the University of Jordan, established in 1962, the country's oldest public four-year institution of higher education. Through coursework, extracurricular activities with local peers, internships, or volunteer work, students are expected to "live the language" in the capital of Jordan.

The Qasid Program is an intensive, multi-term course tailored for non-native speakers and heritage learners who wish to excel in Arabic. It is designed for busy professionals and students. For our winter, spring, and fall quarters, we aim to teach the equivalent of a year’s worth of university-level Arabic in under three months and in just nine weeks for our Summer Intensive. Five core levels of instruction — as well as supplementary and advanced studies modules — are offered, focusing on the specific needs of beginner, intermediate, and advanced students. The "Classic Four" skills of reading, writing, listening, and speaking are taught systematically in classrooms that rarely exceed eight students, giving each individual considerable attention. Our instructors are regarded as exceptional, and the curriculum blends a tried-and-true program with innovative techniques to ensure an optimal learning experience for each student.

This Embassy Camps program is designed to help children speak English or Arabic confidently, clearly, and as quickly as possible—through full immersion, cultural exploration, and skill-building. The camp creates an encouraging multicultural environment where learning happens naturally. Children are guided by native-speaking teachers of English or Arabic, each with extensive teaching experience. The program includes: • Language courses based on a specially developed curriculum (English or Arabic) • Guided tours and excursions across Qatar to enhance cultural awareness • Daily contests and games that train logic, quick thinking, and collaboration • Motivational evening sessions that build confidence and purpose • Activities that develop memory, leadership, and teamwork skills Participants benefit from a well-rounded mix of education, fun, and exploration—making learning a language both effective and exciting.

We are pleased to announce our Summer 2024 study abroad programs for the Rothberg International School (RIS) at Hebrew University. Choose from a broad range of short-term courses across the following areas: Israel & Middle East Studies Religious Studies Social & Political Sciences Business & Legal Studies STEM We have two summer sessions: four weeks in July and two weeks in August. You can choose one session or combine both to get the most out of your stay in Israel. The maximum recommended course load for the July session is two courses. We also have Intensive Language Programs in June: Biblical Hebrew Elementary Level, Colloquial Arabic for Beginners, and Intensive Modern Hebrew. Our summer study abroad courses welcome undergraduate and graduate students, as well as mature learners with academic backgrounds. Participants complement their studies with local volunteer opportunities. To help offset the cost of participation, we offer an automatic scholarship of $500 to all students from the US.
