RVF's Study in Spain Program - Master's in Bilingual Education, Nebrija University
March 21, 2026by: H.T. Hunt - United StatesI’ve found the Master’s in Bilingual Education at Nebrija to be a rigorous and intellectually engaging program. Several professors stand out for their clarity, strong grounding in theory, and practical classroom applicability—particularly in CLIL methodology and active learning approaches. The program requires a high level of autonomy and time management, especially for students who are also working. For those combining teaching responsibilities with full-time study, it is important to be prepared for an intensive schedule. However, the academic depth and exposure to bilingual methodology provide meaningful professional growth. One of the strongest aspects of the program is its emphasis on connecting theory to real classroom contexts. When students actively engage with the material and apply it in their teaching practice, the learning becomes especially valuable. Overall, the program offers solid academic preparation for educators seeking to deepen their understanding of bilingual education within a European framework. RVF also provided excellent support throughout the application process. Thank you.
I had a unique and entertaining experience
March 19, 2026by: Carson Smith - United StatesAltogether, I had a great time. We got to see so much and I believe the pacing of the program was great, spending the right amount of time at each location. La Fortuna was my favorite! Traveling in a large group brought up trouble with waiting on students, health issues, etc. but I still think they were able to make the most of it. Having a flexible schedule and being open to adjustments definitely helps. Our guide Rodrigo and our bus drivers were the best!

Costa Rica
March 19, 2026by: James Paquette - United StatesI really enjoyed this experience. My review is based off of a free trip less expenses such as food and transportation, as I received scholarships for this course. I do know that many students paid upwards of $7,000 on this study abroad trip, which I do find to be a bit much. Considering we were staying in $80 / night hotels with non-working lights, mediocre amenities, and bad air conditioning and bedding coupled with the scarcity of included meals, the figure should have been more around $3,000 without airfare cost. I do not understand how the cost was so high for what was received. I also found living in the dorms with random Costa Rican people to be fun, but a bit restrictive. The morning meals were literally eggs, a piece of bread, and really bad coffee. I was also staying in a really small bunk bed which was uncomfortable. Staying in an affordable hotel would have been better. Next time I recommend the school book out Ester’s Place which is closer to the tech campus and run by a lovely lady who has many rooms available in her home hotel. She also had a much better breakfast and the cost was only $65 / night per person. I stayed here my first night flying in on the 12th and wish I could have gone back but due to restrictions I was not allowed. My family of four at the time in 2019 went on an all inclusive cruise to Italy, Spain, and France for under $10,000 with included meals, drinks , stay, etc. So this trip being $7,000 + for just ONE PERSON is a bit crazy. Regardless, the activities were awesome and for me, price was not an issue as stated before. So, my review without price factored was it was amazing. Great tour guide Rodrigo was so knowledgeable and a very nice guy. He took us to authentic places and not just generic touristy places. I enjoyed seeing the stark contrast in sustainability initiatives between exotic resorts, quasi-governmental organizations, and design firms. I truly did get a wonderful experience with understanding how firms work and the metric process used to gather sustainability info, as well as how to tell if a company may be kind of BS-ing the situation with their sustainability initiatives, or holding themselves accountable. I loved the zip line tour and the coffee and cocoa bean tour. The history tours around the towns was cool, but truly was not necessary. I feel we could have just had an informational PDF sent to us instead of touring these relatively boring historical landmarks. Activities are always more fun than learning about history. I think it would have been much more effective to fly into Liberia, tour the beach and Penninsula Papagayo’s HOA office, then make our way back to San Jose and visit firms, then fly out of SJO. The amount of time driving was frustrating. Or, instead, we would just fly into SJO and tour the Caribbean side of things and skip the western side of Costa Rica altogether. This way the time could be allocated more effectively. I also wish the professors would have split us into groups so we could have gotten to know everyone. There were certain folks I never really got to have conversations with because the groups would naturally clique and we never had forced exposure to each other. Overall it was a wonderful trip and, with a few adjustments I know the next one will be awesome as well!

Amazing Experience In Paris
January 29, 2026by: Audrey Colen - United StatesWhen I decided I wanted to go abroad, I was nervous about a lot of things. First off, I was scared that when I went abroad I would have to settle for a location I did not want to be in because I needed my credits to transfer over. Luckily AIFS had a program in a wonderful city with a bunch of classes that would transfer back to my home university super well. When I chose this program, I was overjoyed but nervous about living in a homestay. When I got there I was happily surprised to find that my host family was amazing and provided me with an experience I would not have been able to have if I had been in a dorm/apt. The people that I met in the program were some of the coolest people I have ever known and am happy to call them my friends to this day. If you are looking for a great program in Paris where you have the freedom to meet new people, travel, and find yourself in a new place, I would 100% recommend this to you!

Life As A Madrileño
July 11, 2025by: Noah Moradoff - United StatesMy time with RVF International as an English Auxiliary in Spain has been nothing short of fantastic. I am ethnically Spanish, but was adopted as a child, so this allowed me to get in touch with my roots. However, no one could have told me the extent to which I would fall in love with Spain and its people. Whether it’s tapas on the street, local dives, or beach trips to Alicante, everything is a lifetime adventure. There are places online that talk about the school experience in a stressful light. In my experience, it was a great chance to grow alongside the kids. Quickly, we adapted to each other, and I’ll miss all of them as I leave the school in San Lorenzo in the coming weeks. The area around my school is stunning, as the monastery is an authentic Spanish treasure. I am a little sad that you can only be in one school for two years, as I’ve formed strong bonds with the students and faculty during my time here. I came to Spain with a base level of Spanish that can only be achieved from an American High School. Needless to say, I wasn’t the strongest speaker. However, in Madrid, everyone was super nice and easy-going from the moment I stepped off the plane. My local alimentacion is run by a couple that speaks no English, but we crossed that divide and now check in with each other every few days if we don’t go to the store. While the city of Madrid offers the hustle and bustle and nightlife of a major city, it also has a sense of tranquility amongst the crowd. This program is 110% recommended for people of all ages looking to immerse themselves in a new culture.
Amazing Support for First-Time Master’s Program Applicant!!!!
June 10, 2025by: Madeline S - United StatesAs someone who was completely new to the process of applying for a master’s program—especially abroad—I was feeling pretty overwhelmed at first. I had no idea where to start or what steps to take. Then I found RVF!! They made everything so much easier than I expected. From day one, the team walked me through the entire process in a way that was clear and manageable. They explained everything I needed to know, helped me gather the right documents, and stayed in touch regularly to make sure I was on track. What seemed complicated at first quickly became doable thanks to their guidance and support. They answered all my questions, helped me write a strong application, and made sure nothing fell through the cracks. Because of them, I got accepted into a great master’s program and feel confident about this new chapter. If you're new to this process or just need someone to help you navigate it smoothly, I can’t recommend RVF International enough. They really made something that felt intimidating feel super achievable!!
A great time for learning and adventure
November 12, 2024by: Lindsay Wilhelm - United StatesI had the best time studying abroad with CEA Capa in Sevilla, Spain. I lived with a host mom who was great at sharing her culture and food. We still talk to this day and she was a wonderful host. My class was amazing and is one of my favorite classes I have taken to this day. I loved the different perspectives presented on global communication. My internship placement was also great and a learned a lot. CEA hosted several events that really helped me connect and make friends with other people in my program. It was a great experience and I highly recommend choosing to study abroad with CEA.
Spring Semester in Granada, Spain!
October 11, 2024by: Lauren Dahl - United StatesMy semester abroad in Granada, Spain was absolutely unforgettable. I decided to stay with a host family and I lived in their home with another student in the same program. Living with a roommate, we became really close friends. My host family was so kind and welcoming, they included us in everything they did. I learned so much Spanish culture and tradition from spending time with the family. The school was called Center of Modern Languages and I had a mixture of Spanish and Business classes. I loved speaking Spanish in class and getting to know other students. AIFS provided a level placement test at the beginning of the semester so that everyone found courses that were appropriate for their knowledge of Spanish. The classes were very fun and I enjoyed going to class. The AIFS program excursions were some of the best experiences/trips that I went on. I was blown away by the Morocco trip as well as the Seville/Córdoba/Gibraltar weekend. The trips were well planned, affordable, and allowed for free time to explore with friends. I made so many connections with locals, got to experience once in a lifetime activities like riding camels next to the ocean, and tried amazing foods. The program application process was hassle-free and the program advisors in Granada are so helpful. I would often visit their office and just chat with them or ask their advice on where to visit on the weekend. They organized cooking classes, art classes, sporting events, and cultural activities like a flamenco show. Granada is such a wonderful city. It is very walkable and the people are very friendly. There are endless tapas bars in the city where you get free food with each drink purchase. I made friends with lots of locals and other students from across the US. I attended exchange club meetings where you get drinks and tapas, and you chat in whatever language you are trying to learn with people from around the world. AIFS did a wonderful job providing opportunities for all of the students in the program to get to know each other. I made a close-knit group of friends and we spent so much time together. I am so thankful for having met them thanks to AIFS. We even visited each other once we arrived back in the US! I would highly recommend this program to anyone who wants to experience Spain on a more personal scale compared to bigger cities. I think Granada is the most beautiful city, and the Alhambra is a must-see!

I love Sevilla and CEA CAPA!
September 09, 2024by: Taylor Green - United StatesThe people in CEA CAPA are some of the most kind and helpful people I have met throughout the whole process of studying abroad. They made me feel heard and helped me with many of the challenges I have faced when going abroad. Seville itself is the most amazing place to study abroad. The food, people, and overall atmosphere were truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I loved everything about Seville and couldn't recommend it more to other students.

Studying Abroad with CEA CAPA
July 28, 2024by: Bronwyn GeddesI thoroughly enjoyed my experience studying abroad in Seville, Spain through CEA Capa Abroad. They have an amazing support team that guides you through the entire pre-departure process, as well as site administrators and teachers for when you arrive. I thankfully did not have any particularly difficult situations while abroad, but it was reassuring knowing that I had people I could reach out to for assistance if needed. CEA Capa has so many programs across the world and internship connections for a wide range of studies. Highly recommend for students looking for their perfect program!!
The best experience!
February 28, 2024by: Hannah Fuller - United StatesI went abroad with CEA CAPA to Seville, Spain and it was an amazing experience! I took classes at a local university, was immersed in the culture through a variety of different excursions put on by CEA CAPA, and met amazing people. This experience allowed me to better my Spanish and learn a new culture. The people that work at CEA CAPA were very friendly and answered any and all questions that I had before my trip as well as during.
Hi Hannah! Thanks so much for your feedback on your study abroad experience in Seville! So glad you had such an amazing time learning the language and culture.
Interning in Seville, Spain
February 27, 2024by: Daisy R - United StatesSeville is a captivating city that has a charming blend of rich history, vibrant nightlife, and a warm community. Tapa places are at every corner, and so are shoe stores and ice cream places. While Seville's heat in the summer is beyond, the cultural tradition of siestas help avoid the heat. A truly exceptional destination for those seeking a transformative international program. The memories you make will last you a life time and the friends you will make from all walks of life!
A very unique, explorative program
January 13, 2024by: Julia Kirkland - United StatesI originally chose to study abroad through CEA CAPA in Seville because I wanted a program that offered kinesiology related courses. The courses were fantastic and the teachers made the entire experience better. They offered local perspectives since they were both from Seville. Also, I am extremely happy with the housing option I chose. I stayed in a Casa with 5 other program students. We lived above our host family and would eat meals with them everyday. Our host mom also did our laundry and gave us traveling tips. The entire program was designed in a way that helps students feel comfortable in an unknown country. CEA CAPA pre-plans excursions that allow students to see different aspects of the local culture.
Berlin in the 2023 fall semester
December 21, 2023by: Eleanor Rauschenberg - United StatesBerlin is a really wonderful and historic city to live in. My German is basically nonexistent and I still felt like I was able to get around fine. The AIFs staff are very supportive, and the organized actives were well structured and thought out. If you weren’t interested in some or all of the activities, you didn’t have to participate and there was plenty of time to do your own thing around Berlin or travel throughout Europe. I didn’t particularly enjoy my academic experience at Humboldt, there were a few good classes but also a few really awful ones. So, if I could do it again I would probably do the AIFS program with Freie Universität academic program.
NOCCCD Study Abroad in Rome
December 14, 2023by: Ed Giardina - United StatesMy colleague and I have had the pleasure of accompanying 21 amazing humans on a 3 month journey that will most certainly change them for the rest of their lives. Thank you to AIFS for sharing Rome with us and attending to every detail that made this an experience that will live with us eternally. The AIFS Rome center staff were excellent in providing impactful excursions, extra-curricular courses, and ensuring that all of us were well informed and provided for in every part of our journey.

What is considered "Once in a Lifetime"
November 22, 2023by: Yazmin Cruz - United StatesIt was a beautiful experience and I gained a lot of skills along with a new perspective on my dreams/aspirations! I learned from community members, professors and friends each and every day. It was an honor to learn from people who want to see you win.
Study abroad changed my life
October 19, 2023by: Julia McCarthy - United StatesGoing abroad to a new country can be scary. CEA CAPA provided all the resources I needed plus more to help me do everything I wanted during my time abroad. Some of the things that were really important to me were having options for many classes that I was interested in that would fulfill my major and minor requirements at my home university. CEA CAPA had so many options and more. I was also able to study at a local university while also taking classes with CEA CAPA. I was also able to have volunteer opportunities through CEA CAPA which ended up being one of my most favorite and rewarding experiences of my entire abroad. The excursions were also some of my favorite times from abroad. I connected with so many people from my program and when we went on excursions I was able to spend time with my whole program.
