Study Abroad Programs in Canterbury, England

I studied abroad during Fall 2017 at Hertford College with the September Seminar in the Humanities. The seminar helped us get acclimated to Oxford before the Oxford term began. Being immersed in the university made a huge difference and I was able to meet many full-time Oxford students, join organizations like the rowing team, and explore the breathtaking city. IFSA-Butler was an amazing program to go with because our advisor, Andrew Williams, came to have coffee and chat with us twice a week (chatting optional but he would buy us coffee/cake)! IFSA-Butler also did a Lake District trip with us which we loved. Overall amazing experience and I miss it so much!

I had the time of my life at The University of Kent in Canterbury. I really recommend going to Canterbury as it is a small and historic english town and the Uni is full of life. People were so nice and the best part were the amount of international students who were also studying abroad there, most of them living close to me in Parkwood. The experience with IFSA Butler was very hands off and independent. But, I did go on a trip to the lake district with them and it was a very nice trip. We stayed in a cozy hotel and they really put in an effort to provide us with amazing activities and meals. IFSA was also very helpful when I got sick during finals and worried that I might not be able to make it to my final. They were very kind and compassionate!
