Through the Mente Argentina: Wine Program participants will explore the process of how the Argentine Malbec is produced while experiencing the rich Argentine culture. Concepts that will be taught in this course include wine production, introductions to wine tasting techniques, knowledge of varieties and flavors of wine, and wine pairing strategies. Throughout the course individuals will experience 50 exclusive Argentine and international wines. From each tastings participants will explore visual and sensory analysis of wine, color intensity, tasting vocabulary, and food pairing. Individuals may choose from the intensive two week program which takes place in the city of Buenos Aires, or the regular one month program which includes trips to Argentinas wine country, in the province of Mendoza. Participates may also chose to add on a Spanish course during the program in order to improve Spanish while learning about, and enjoying, the amazing Argentine wine.

The Córdoba Summer Term consists of a four-week Intensive Language and Culture session at Argentina's oldest university, Universidad Nacional de Córdoba (UNC). During this time, you take an intensive language and culture course while discovering the culture and people of Argentina. Advanced students may also participate in an internship or service learning opportunity during their summer term. The Spanish Studies Resident Director and UNC's PECLA (Programa de Español y Cultura Latinoamericana) staff guide you through this journey of discovery through regular contact with Spanish Studies students and by organizing special cultural activities. Choose one 80-hour intensive language course, one or two 45-hour content courses, or an internship or service learning opportunity. In addition to coursework, the program includes a homestay, cultural visits within Córdoba, and a cultural day trip to the estancias jesuíticas and Che Guevara museum in Alta Gracia.

This 4-week program helps you develop and improve your Spanish oral fluency and written skills, acquire essential cultural knowledge to understand the complexities of contemporary Argentine society, and achieve effective integration in the city and your new university environment. It provides a comprehensive and varied overview of the most important cultural aspects, serving as an introductory proposal for our semester program. To participate in this program, you must have completed 3 Spanish semesters at the university level or their equivalent from a private institution (Level SPA 201 or higher / B1 MRCE).

Study Spanish, read literature, and learn about Argentine culture in the urban landscape of Buenos Aires, a city of 15.5 million. This program is offered in collaboration with the Learning Abroad Center and the Fundacíon José Ortega y Gasset. The Fundacion is in the heart of the city's downtown area, in one of Argentina's most prestigious and elegant buildings. You will get the chance to learn from a diverse faculty that brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the classroom. Semester students earn 12–18 credits and choose from Spanish or English-taught courses. Summer students enroll in 3–10 credits of courses in Spanish. UTDT's semester-long certificate programs have been designed for students who want to focus on Latin American Studies or Human Rights during their studies in Buenos Aires. These offer courses in both English and Spanish, and students may opt to take the three courses required to obtain these certificates in English, Spanish, or a mixture of both. All courses take a comparative approach to ensure a critical understanding of the issues studied. The Certificate in Latin American Studies explores the most current social, political, linguistic, and cultural developments shaping Latin America. The Certificate in Human Rights in Latin America is from philosophical, historical, cultural, and social viewpoints.
