How to Study Abroad in Buenos Aires
There are two primary routes you can generally take to study abroad in Buenos Aires. The first is enrolling in classes directly at a local university (such as the University of Buenos Aires, one of the most highly regarded on the continent). In order to enroll at an Argentine university you will typically be expected to have a respectable command of the Spanish language, at least so much that you may understand what your professors are lecturing about.
An alternative path is to study at an international or satellite school which is connected to a study abroad program in Buenos Aires. Enrolling in classes at one of these smaller institutions can give you the benefit of an English-taught education by local faculty, along with a course load specifically designed for foreign students. Some structured study abroad programs during the summer time can also take you to multiple destinations throughout the region, with Buenos Aires just one stop among several.
Whichever path you choose, some popular course subjects explored by international students in Buenos Aires include Spanish, history, Latin American studies, psychology, and international relations. Your selection of courses will be much broader at a full university than at a smaller satellite school, but both can provide for a great education nonetheless!
