During your stay, you will participate in a wide range of activities on the reef, including ecology training, in-water reef monitoring, data collection, and research as well as educational projects within the local community.

The Great Barrier Reef is the world’s largest coral reef. It is one of the most iconic natural wonders of the world, and yet there is so much more we need to learn about the ecosystem and how to protect it. The reef is under growing threat from the impacts of cyclones, invasive Crown-of-Thorns, and coral bleaching from climate change.

On weekends, you will have free time to relax and enjoy the city. You can also explore nearby attractions like Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park and Daintree National Park, which spans mountainous tropical rainforests, gorges, and beaches.
