In July 2001, Vaughan Systems took on the unprecedented challenge of transforming an abandoned Spanish village into a bustling hub where English became the official language. This project brought together 20 English speakers hailing from diverse corners of the globe and paired them with 20 Spaniards, setting the stage for six days of interaction and fun. Since the launch of this initial experiment, the endeavor has thrived, orchestrating more than 850 programs and drawing the participation of over 10,000 English-speaking volunteers and Spanish counterparts. Gradually, this unique fusion of English speakers, from retired Irish farmers to Canadian civil servants, Los Angeles firewomen to Australian businessmen, has started to "infiltrate" this Spanish-speaking country.
