Completed at your own pace, this online winter course introduces you to Urban Studies through a series of pre-recorded lectures by our team of experts. Dive into key topics in the multidisciplinary study of cities, combined with video tours, readings, and assignments. This asynchronous online course is ideal for gaining a broad overview of the central issues debated and discussed in urban studies today.

The course familiarizes students with critical academic debates in urban studies and highlights their practical relevance for urban development, governance, and policy-making. While international in scope, Amsterdam serves as a recurring case to illustrate the opportunities and challenges of urban complexity and the creation of sustainable and just cities.
