The Coral Tribe is an association devoted to marine conservation situated on a small island in the Gulf of Thailand. With Koh Tao being such a small island we saw a problem that needed fixing so a few of us banded together to try and make a change, conducting marine conservation training, research with a focus on coral restoration methods. The association specializes in preparing and instructing divers and dive professionals with an emphasis on all aspects of marine conservation. We believe that our training and education will make you a better diver and preserve our coral reefs for generations to come. I came to Koh Tao as a solo female traveler, taking my Open Water and Advanced Open Water courses before jumping right into two courses with Jenny, where I learned SO much more than I could have imagined! During my time there I took both the Reef Check Eco Diver course and the Marine Resource Management course. Both courses were so exciting and informative as they were taught in an educational, engaging, and passionate way. Jenny's passion for Marine Conservation is contagious! I hope to be able to share my newly acquired knowledge and make a positive impact through Marine Conservation work in my region going forward. Thank you for opening my eyes and giving me the information I need to be more proactive in further Marine Conservation efforts! I will always treasure this experience!
